Those engines are thirsty, but that is the cost of a very high speed cruising specification. Maybe a lower speed configuration would be better to get a reasonable cruising range. As for the purchase price: wait a year and pick a good used example for way less the new - let someone else take the hit of initial purchase (prices will always go down).

Owners dont sell them and they will keep a high price. Its a good investment if you keep it maintained.

This is not a car, even if you manage to find a 1 year old x9, you will find out the price might even be higher then what it was bought for, this due to the fact there is no waiting time to get the boat. And if you watch the video you would have found out that optimal cost/speed/range range is 17mph with a consumption that is very affordable for a boat of this size. But people actually buying this boat is not interested in that speed. Seems you should look at some cheaper more mass production yacht, if you're looking for a boat with lesser 2nd hand value and lower speed, there are loads of Sunseekers on the 2nd hand market that looks fast and actually is cheaper buying used after a short while. Best of luck finding your yacht if you havent bought it yet.

Luxury yachts prices dont drop like cars, which roll out of assembly yards. Just check online, a 3 yr olf Pershing9X still sells for above $8million

20 ltrs or 4.5 gallons per 1nm at 25kts id like to see Maurizio top up the 9000ltr fuel tanks after the test, bet he's not smiling then lol! anyways - English at last thank you ~ was about to unsubscribe ... Pershing always make modern cutting edge beautiful fast desirable yachts and at €7000000 its surprisingly affordable at this end of the 30mtr market (of course the tax mans 20% VAT still waiting to be paid at €1400000 before it hits the water) again a very nice in-depth review video as always, the best even,

The Pershing 9X is a high quality yacht with great features and it appears to be easy to operate. It appears a full time crew is not needed to maintain this yacht. The only feature missing is a canopy on the upper deck. What is the cost for such a high quality machine such as this.

I ran one of these for a while and left because of the boat. It has a range of 400 nautical miles at cruise and while fast it's limited to what she can do. Funny thing is they sold the boat right after I left because of it's range limitations. It's not easy to get fuel for a boat this size and while the family I worked for had no problem filling the tanks they were really limited as to where they could do so.

If i Pershing would incorporate the stairs for the Fly Sport from the Pershing 8X onto the 9X,. There would be no logical reason not to order one........ immediately. And spend the rest of the decade cruising the Antillies and northern coast of South America up Central America to Mexico. Who is the presenter, even though it is dubbed in English his flair and knowledge comes across.

I wonder how fast it'd go in calm waters cold weather (turbo diesels thrive on cold dense air) with all unnecessary weight removed so water, food furniture etc and say 1/2 a tank of fuel.. This is really fast for a big boat. But massive cruise liners 100x bigger than this used to go 58-70mph average speed as they traversed the atlantic to win that award nations use to vye for winning in the early 1900's through the 1960's before mainstream commercial aviation. These boats usually made like 260,000hp and were massive steam powered.. This is all the speed you'd ever want though I suppose.. every inch is Beautiful!

I hear you, but this yacht is all about performance, so it needs that amount of focus to explain it well. It's definitely not designed to maximize luxury or living space, but to rip through the water in style.
