Life was steady and I grew up Q. Can you share something about your upcoming roles? Actually, The Oath of Love, is a TV play with a very realistic theme which is close to everyone. In the Female Psychologist, the character is totally different from my previous role. My character when younger, grew up bruised in a broken native family.. And then slowly I pursue my own career and dreams, helping others redeem themselves on the way, also myself. And then, Huang Zixia, it's set in ancient period, a costume drama of detective genre. I think there 3 are totally different types, playing them has given me a very exciting feeling, experiencing three different kinds of life. Q. Suppose you lived under the same roof as Tong Nian, Lin Zhixiao and Huang Zixia. What kind of relationship do you suppose you share with them? I'll ask Tong Nian to help me with my homework. Lin Zhixiao will have nothing else to do but just play cello for me. Huang Zixia, I'll seek he'd help if I have any un-cracked mysteries to solve. And He Du, I'll just chat with her, and if I'm in a bad mood, I'll ask her to guide me. Q. Q. Well, you have a lot of blockbusters under your belt. So, people say that,"Oh, Yang Zi's dramas are very good!". Is it a lot of pressure for you to carry that impression? YZ: First of all, I think it's an honor because I'm an actor. Getting such a big title is a matter that brings great joy, but at the same time, I'd feel more pressure. I just want to bring good works to everyone. I'm scared that everyone would be disappointed. Q. Last year , you were continuously filming and of course won the Weibo White Paper Top 1 Commercial Value. How do you feel? YZ: wah!😊 I should continue to work hard ☺️✊ Q. The most memorable thing you saw last year while surfing on Weibo? YZ: Recent one, ok? Just now, I saw everyone saying that Yang Zi has lost weight. [You really are very thin] Actually, it's okay. It's just because I'm controlling my weight as I'm filming. [Was it difficult to control weight around the New Years Day? YZ: I was filming on New year's day. We actually celebrated on the set amidst filming. In fact, we spent the morning at work. Q. Did you see anything memorable while surfing Weibo last year, something funny or moving? Last year...I think it's the updates about the pandemic. I was home under lockdown for some 40 days. Everyday while reading news I'd feel stirred and upset. Q. What about when you see something funny about yourself on Weibo? I go, hahaha.. Then I forward them to my friends and have a good laugh. And we discuss about it. Q: What about when the friends see melons about you? YZ: it's weird. And they also come to verify it. Q: Do they believe such gossips? YZ: I don't think they do. I know their IQ. Q. You welcomed the New Year with the crew this year. You didn't go home? No. My parents are on the set with me. Q. When you have family gatherings, does everyone talk about you? Our family is very grounded, probably coz I've been acting since I was young. Ar family gatherings, we don't talk about my work but just eat good food and have fun. Q. We saw you sharing pics of Piupiu on Weibo. He is cute and seems to have got a bit fat? YZ: He's at my grandmother's house in Beijing. My aunt feeds it everyday, he's grown so fat he's not a teddy anymore but a chow-chow. Q. Is there any plan to help him lose weight? It's good that he's happy, he's over ten years old, so he is also old. Q. Have you any new plans regarding work this year? This year , I still want to focus on filming more good works. Because as an actor, I have such a strong desire to create at my age. I want to play different kinds of roles and don't want to be stuck to a type. Q. So you'll keep joining new crews?
