I want to draw your attention to different attitudes from Wei Ying and Lan Zan to Nie Huai Shang. The first time viewers probably question “who is Nie? Why he brought WY back to life without ever admitting it?”. Nie Huai Shang was like a fly-on-the-wall, completely in the shadow of two leading men’s glamour. He fainted and cried so often almost ridiculous. He had great porn collection, happily gave one to WY to let him tease LZ. But in reality he outsmarted everyone, he was the first one who realized JGY was the murderer of his brother. Facing a very cunning and powerful enemy, he took the hardest responsibility bestowed upon him, transformed himself from carefree to calculating. First, in order to survive he had to fool everyone into believing he was just a dumb I-know-nothing weakling. Second, he needed help in his long shot revenge, who would be willing and able? Nie was a playmate (not a soulmate) of Wei Ying back in Cloud Recess days. Their paths didn’t cross much since then, but WY’s reputation has skyrocketed through slaughtering snaketurtle, then further in Sunshot and Nevernight battle. With many twists and turns, the whole truth was revealed. At finale, Nie personally delivered a cruel death to JGY by tricking the only man JGY ever loved and respected into thrusting his sword into his heart. The biggest beneficiary was Wei Ying, with JGY’s death, he was released from the cursing spell, he was once again a free man with cleared reputation and conscience. Wei Ying should thank Nie a million if purely for his own sake, but he did not. Surprised? You should not. His signature trait has always been putting his loved ones’ interest WAY HIGHER than his own. He had paid ultimate price for that in his previous life. Now that his beloved Lan Zan stepped onto power pinnacle of cultivation world, Nie would be a formidable enemy if he started to get power hungry. Some of his tactics were already in gray zone. He deceived Lan Zhan’s brother LXC into killing JGY by falsely accusing him of something he didn’t do. Wei Ying confronted his benefactor with a shot of thinly veiled warning, “We all underestimated you, now we know what you are capable of. You have done your revenge, don’t further use your scheming skills to do evil or to aim on His Excellency out of personal greed”. NHS replied he only did what he had got to do, he has always longed for a simple and peaceful life. ( this is actually the meaning of his name, HuaiShang) You should also notice NHS's expression changed in face of WY and LZ. He was more confident and self-assured, he was now more like their equal not just a "fan" or an "inferior". After all, he was a rainmaker, strategic planning mastermind and master-in-deception SECOND-TO-NONE. Lan Zan was not a talker as usual, he just replied NHS’s greeting with a deep bow - unnecessary and unusual for his superior position. He never liked to pretend, he used to ignore Nie when they were still peers in Cloud Recess. His perceived “arrogance” and “coldness” even cost him a dangerous enemy - Su She. This deep bow should be interpreted as “Regardless of your intention I am deeply grateful for your bringing my love back to life. After 16 years of waiting in unknown, I finally have chance to indulge him, protect him, stand by him, fulfill my untamed yet untold love with him.” -WY’s warning remarks to Nie were for Lan Zhan, and LZ’s bow to Nie was for Wei Ying. - The power duo naturally acted like one, their true love shown at its finest detail! This show is applauded as “masterpiece” by worldwide audience despite that it was a pure fantasy rooted in ancient Chinese culture. The unpredictable plot, rich characters, directing, OST, costumes, sceneries, sets, great attention to fine details, outstanding acting made audiences go back and forth re-watching just to understand and appreciate more, and always find something new. And every major character had their own arcs, their strength and weakness, their thin blurry line of goodness and darkness. Every character felt their actions were justified from their own perspective and circumstances, just like real life people. Brilliant portrait of human nature.

Sizhui finding his home (wen ning, wei ying n lan zhan) 6. N finally the role of "Excellency" was given to the ryt man

Coming back here in 2024 just to see and talk on how grate Wen Ning was in the past 49 episodes he deserve all the credit in this series ❤❤ and not forgetting how Lan Xichen wanted to stay and die with Jin Yao

I've finally watched this masterpiece. I'm sobbing all alone, knowing I will never be able to watch it again for the first time. I understand why so many people are obsessed with it. This drama has been the highlight of my days ever since I started watching it. Suspense, sadness, fun and drama all combined. Not everything said, but there's no need for that because the actors are all so skilled that every gaze and look speajs for itself. Fuck. I really wish I could watch it again for the first time. I loved it. Nothing will ever come close to this. 2023 has been shitty so far, but if one good thing happened to me, it would be this series. I cant stop my tears.

Not even a single episode was boring, my curiosity kept increasing. Normally, approximately 44 minutes long episodes of dramas bore me, but this story is something else. I was so addicted that I tried to watch it whenever I can, to now be sad that I finished 50 episodes already. Having no season 2 is sad, wish there was one.😔 I had a roller coaster ride of emotions with this drama, the bond between every one of the characters if its sibling relationship, friendship relationship, love relationship etc was shown so beautifully in this.🥺 All the actors performed so well, they all won their screen space with their acting, not letting my attention off them.🙂 This is one of the best Cdramas I have ever watched. I will miss seeing the bond between Lan Zhan and Wei Ying (Wuxin).😭 Love this drama, hope it will forever be in my memories and I watch it again.🥰☺️💜

This drama is a roller coaster of emotions 😭.. Rewatching this made by 2024 better !! I feel a lot pf unexplainable emotions 🥲... Those who never saw this missed a lot ngl. I'm glad to have found this masterpiece back in 2022 ig and it was my opening door to historical c dramas.. I couldn't even bear to see wei ying and lan zhan apart even for a min 🤕.. Every characters slayyyed , all the actors were really talented and delivered their character upto the mark! Nei huisang makes me long 😂.. Shamado pujtha.. Chinta shamado pujda.. He even dared to say he dk if meng yao was gonna reach the sword or not when questioned by hewu jun. Meng yao is greatest villain of all time periodt!!! He makes us hate the character sm proving his acting skills. Hewu jun's pain was underrated. Made me think if I truly understand my close one and that scares me.. This drama even thought me some lessons!! I wish to have a lan zhan in my life 😭 but for that you have to be wei ying , I'm no wei ying. My character seems lke lan zhan's tho not entirely just some similarities. Idk what nonsense I'm blabbering. Started my vacations watching this drama idk what to do. 50 episodes is not enough seriously 😭😭 When I first watched it seemed like a lot until I completed it 😕 Those who skipped this just bcuz it has these many episodes are surely gonna regret.. I can almost hear Wu Xian's eyes telling Lan Zhan to go with him at 32:11. I can't believe how much feelings was Xiao Zhan able to put into his stare there and then again at 38:56. I bow to the actor. Amazing. I'm speechless. Just a single stare saying so much. How was he able to act it this way...

There's this episode where Wei Wuxian was describing his child (what and how he'd love his child to be). He just described child with Lan Zhan's character. And funny enough, Lan Zhan happened to raise Wen Yuan as Lan Sizhui, whose character is the mix of them both❤❤❤

Oh my heart was about to rip when they parted their ways. Those 60seconds were so hard to watch. I was sobbing so bad. And then LZ came for his WEI YING. My heart is at peace now. I completely understand why there are so many fans head over heal for WangXian 🥺💗

In one sentance - Slow start that you wanna drop it but if you will wait, you'll get to experience an amazing show. So Dont Drop it. ep 1 and 2 - present time ( slow and confusing ) ep 3 - 32 - Flashback ( You'll also understand the first two episodes better after watching these eps ). ep 33 - 50 - present time ( & the real excitement is here ). Although the Novel is Utterly fantastic 👏 but but but the show is not lagging behind in potraying main leads emotions in a non sexual ( due to censorship in China ) way. My three most favourite things in this show :- 1. Eyes of Xiao Zhan 😍 2. Smile of Xiao Zhan 😛 3. The Gaze of Wang Yibo ( Chills on the body ) 🥴🥶 Definitely going in my REWATCH list. JUST GO FOR IT. ❤🔥

Sadly, no second season but I'll always come back to watch The Untamed and it'll forever be my Favorite. Love all the Actors and the Story, MUAH!!!

poor wei ying had imagined his future to go on adventure with his allies but realized everyone had a path they decided on INCLUDING HIS HUBBY and that they wont be with him anymore thus feeling lonely and left out...i was gonna cry and ready to complain about the unjustifiable ending given to us BUT THEN 41:46 along with his happy teary eyes said it...M COMPLETE THANKYOU FOR THIS LIFE.

untamed needs apart 2, this was an amazing, heartwarming and terrific drama. i have watched this drama over and over, i have never seen such a great adventurous and romantic drama as this. the roles of wei ying and lan zhan were fantastic and i have never seen such great acting by just eye contact and facial expressions of love like this before. loved it❤❤

After seeing this drama for the second time l can really understand how really life goes and l really thought of it for a long time. l finally realised what was lacking in my life which we should be taking from this drama. Be calm like Lan Zhan, it is way for you to protect the ones you are trying to protect. Be sharp and courageous like Wei Ying, no matter what happen there are only few things which belong to you. Be like Nie Huai Shang, when you know something don't let others know that you that thing. Be like Lan Xichen, calm as ice, being hyper in every situation makes us regret afterwards. Be like Jiang Yanli, sometimes some people really deserve you especially for liking. Be like Jiang Cheng, sometimes there are necessary things you should know and sometimes there are things which others should not know. Be like Guangyao, there times when there are no choices left, to take initiatives too there is an limit to it. Be like Xue Yang, though everyone hates you there would atleast one person whom you will love. Be like Wen Ning and Wen Qing, sometimes you need to live for others but yes in the end even you have a good life ahead. Though l did not mention other characters but yes the roles of every person is just well portrayed going to see this drama for the 3rd time. Though there are little loop holes of All the Clans but it doesn't matter after you understand. THE UNTAMED, THANK YOU ❤️🫡♾️

This drama taught me allot. It also changed my perspective and preferences about bl drama's, this drama has here by proved that 'intemet' scene is not important. The way the looked at each other holding so much emotions made us understand their love. Tho this series was supposed to be leaning towards friendship more than lovers because of c**** government, I guess we all understood the assignment. Not only the lead roles played well, but the whole cast blowed my sense. Every side character evolved did so well. When I say 'I'm gonna miss this drama' I mean it ! This drama was so out of my comfort zone I just ♥️ it and at the end I found myself rooting for them and at the end when he heard his voice and turned around and smiled I was thinking oh thank God a perfect ending to want I thought was a beautiful love story ❤. Did not expect to love this so much well done to all the actors and those behind the scenes it was just perfect ♥️🇬🇧.
