This is one (if not the best) series seen in several years and HIGHLY recommend watching. The screenwriter needs multiple awards along with all the great actors/actresses - what makes this show fun to watch is the different stories told by the families, outstanding writing and fun to watch. One of the great parts is when Kesong's uncle (Xiaoyu's Dad) works his way into the story line bringing the families close together making the story fun in general. Highly Recommend You Adding This To Your Watch List. A++

I'm new to Chinese dramas, but I watched this one through and LOVED it!! The story line, character development and chemistry between actors and actresses is wonderful! Only downside is that you will probably be hungry while watching the show haha! 😄

❤️ Ethan Juan! People keep saying why Zhao Lusi wasn’t cast in this drama instead of this actress who look like her. In my opinion, this actress may not be as pretty as Lusi, but her acting ability is far superior. If Lusi was cast, this role would have been more shallow and less complex. After finishing episode 1, I can say that this actress does a great job.

Watching this drama means for me to eat previously something so as not to get hungry. Most of the dishes looked so tasty and delicious. I saw Song Zu Er recently in the drama To Fly with you and like her acting.

Loved this drama, the love, the passion of their careers brings them together. How they support each other on their difficulties and learn from each other weaknesses. Just loved it 🥰. Is a must watch! 🤩

First time seeing the female protagonist. Her character is blunt and normally doesn't shy away from others, except her true feelings for her crush. Her cuteness kinda reminds me of Zhao Liying.

This TV drama is well acted, planned and delightfully written. It encompasses love, kindness, and the wonder of the human spirits when all seem loss. I watched to know the glitters of Shanghai better. The acting is just wonderful.

I came back from watching all the episodes and this drama is really GREAT! Whichever emotion the Writers wanted you to feel, the whole cast MADE you feel with all their amazing acting ability. So smoothly done! You may get so aggravated that you want to stop watching it but hang in there!😍 You won't regret it. Time spent watching it is time WELL spent! 😁 P.S. SUPER special Ending! I like Ethan Juan so much. He was sexy in Legend of Fuyao, vicious in The Liquidator and spiritual in Detective Dee. It's a pleasure to see him again. About Song Zu Er, I've watched her in Novoland : Eagle flag. She is sweet. Her face is so innocent and the same time she looks like naughty child. Interesting main cast. Definitely must be watch.

I have just watched episode 40. It is a journey and without adding any spoilers it is mostly worth watching till the end. You might, as many appear to have done find yourself fast forwarding bits of the side and sub plots, or beautiful shots of food. On the whole it is enjoyable.

Girls like older men. I'm an old soul, I've dated guys ten to fifteen years older than me, and it just seems to go better for me most of the time. Most guys close to my age especially when I was in my 20's were ridiculous, I had no patience for them. Now I'm in my 40s, and my partner is 3 years older than me, and while he's very silly in his words he's very serious about most everything else, so it's not bothersomr.

And that's not to say younger men won't do that too. It's just rare. Plus, adult males in their 20s tend to still be more boylike than manlike. They just mostly tend to lack the reasoning and maturity that older men have.

I guess this is why I couldn't be a screen writer. She has a valid reason for being in the room. He doesn't know how long she's been there, her first instinct is to be cunning. Instead of acting lime the jr. Manager she is. Would it have been too boring to get to the scene with her interacting with him as she is at the door without the shinanigans?

This drama was adapted from a novel I read many years ago. I was kind of excited to see it being filmed, but after watching the first episode I have to say I am very disappointed. They changed almost everything - from the main character's personalities to core plots. In the novel, the male lead is blind, while not being able to see, his other senses are exceptional. Therefore, he uses the tone of others' speech to sense their attitudes, feelings, and sincerity. I remember the author emphasized that this imperfection is what makes him more "perfect", because he is not fooled by appearances. I think in this drama, they took away his sense of (spoiler alert) taste (spoiler alert), but I think this makes no sense because he is a Chef and he is supposed to teach the female lead how to cook. This is a frustrating trend in the Chinese drama industry where they adapt popular web novels but then change almost everything to suit what they think the audience wants to watch (sappy love scenes, weak female leads who needs saving, dumbing down the plot), but ignores what made the novel popular in the first place.
