@@rebeccam.7249 Lol Pop doesn't just mean pop music in these genres. K-Pop can include K-R&B and hip hop etc even if those artist wouldn't associate themselves with the idol imagery of "K-Pop". Heck my parents listen to Canto-Pop (which is Cantonese c-pop) since back in the 70s and 80s. The terminology for "name of country"-Pop predates your perception of what the terminology actually means. Even Trap Hip-Hop music is considered a type of pop music in America as it's popular. Billie Eilish is considered pop as her music is popular even though the genres she sings are more multifaceted than just "pop".

MY GOD I KNOW RIGHT bc i think kpop made us familiar with certain idols stanning habits, as an international fan i tried to search for englishsubbed content like the movie they did or just videos of them like congress/ interviews of them taking about their very hard debut (this is really something i want to know more about) but its impossible 🤣 i get that they reaaaaally want to give their contry power by their music but...
