What I love about 'It started with a kiss' is the fact that, unlike the Korean version, the male lead shows true affection for the female lead. At least that's my opinion. Even though he doesn't stand her at the beginning of the series, it's well portrayed how his feelings develop through time and then, when he finally confesses, he's widely open about his love for her. I love them so much! I mean, talk about chemistry... 💘

the way my heart melts when zhi shu said “Xiang Qin, will you marry me?” cuz in every version they all just ask “is it okay with you?” “is it okay?” I mean those r still fluttery it’s just Zhi Shu’s words always hit different 😭💗💗.

多田薰老师的原著漫画也非常好看。台湾版本改编非常好，加了很多温暖的小细节，演员都非常棒，这就是成功的原因。16年过去了，也许我会一直回味这部剧到老吧。

This man A-jin loved xiang Qing truly and had good intentions for future. That's why he later gets a beautiful wife who loves him very much (in TKA) I believe in real life it happens too. If u love someone true heartedly and have good intentions, even if u can't get the person, God gives u more better person in your life ❤

I know this is years late, LOL, but I'm watching ISWAK AGAIN! I've seen all of the other versions of Itazura na Kiss and this, by far, is my favorite. Joe Cheng brings such realness, growth & intensity to the character of Zhi Shu. You can see his struggle whether to maintain his aloofness, ignore his deepening feelings & let Xiang Qin (played beautifully by Ariel Lin) go, giving her to Ah Jin (who made it a real "second lead" syndrome!), or to admit to, and give into, his true feelings for Xiang Qin & run to her. I'm so glad they didn't make the character of Hua Lan, whom Zhi Shu was supposed to marry, into a "bad girl" or make her obnoxious or snobby. Bianca Bin played her just right. I especially loved the final conversation between Zhi Shu & Hua Lan (before Zhi Shu went to get Xiang Qin). Hua Lan bravely admitted, & made HIM admit, that she could see how special Xiang Qin was to him. Each of these actors gave the characters such real depth & integrity (in my opinion). The rest of the cast was terrific, some of them really made the comedy come alive for me. I'll be watching ISWAK (and TKA) over and over again. Sorry to go on so long. tons of dramas but iswak-tka will always be the best drama for me. the acting is superb, they made it really natural, and the chemistry between joe and ariel. this will always be the best adaptation of the manga upto this days. first watch this when i was 10 yrs old and now im 22, still watching in 2022 but the sparks is still there, feels like its my first time watching 🥺 miss arjoe so much, wish we could have a mini reunion of them again this year ❤️

This version takes the cake of all the versions I've watched. They were all entertaining and I enjoyed all of them. But this is the best, there's more to the story in both the first and second season. The Male lead shows way more emotions and hes kinder than the others. Although, he's mean, but less mean than the others. You get to see alot more of their life and he's more romantic. The Korean version made only one season and had some scenes from the first and second season, merge in one season. Although, I like it. I wish they just kept the 2 seasons and showed their married life. The Japanese version was good as well. But the guy lacked emotions. He should have smiled more,and have more playful moments. You could have see that he loved her and cares for her. He just had a silent way of showing it. I only wish there was more romantic moments in their married life . The Tawainese version was just great and beautiful to watch. So much emotions, and love. He had his cold moments but showed more emotions. But hey, I love this storyline. I don't think i can get tired of any version. It's a beautiful story. Lovely characters.

Aww..I was smiling like an idiot whole time while watching this episode. I love the part where they paste new poster photo on wall with all happy faces. I like how they became a family naturally from day 1 to now officially. I just love they complete each other. I just love zhi shu's mom. She is full of life. I love how she enjoys doing simple things for her family. From day 1 especially in case of Xiang shi who treats her like her own daughter . She never pointed out Xiang shi flaws if you see closely she is maybe the only character who don't consider her dumb apart from Ajin. I love their family dynamics . They just complete each other.

This version shows us how Zhi Shu feels for Xiang especially when he fines out that he is going to lose Xiang to A-Jin. How Xiang stands up to Zhi Shu when they we're talking to each other in the rain.

The way Xiang Qin stand up to Zhi Shu when they were arguing in the rain. She gave back all the hurtful words that Zhi Shu always tell her when she is being nosy. The first time he finally understands It's impact on Xiang Qin and how hurt she was. This is the time he realize the pain, the frustration and the love he had for her when he was about to loose her.

我觉得最后才叔说，终于有家的感觉的时候我也很感动。终于真正的搬进这个家了

I did not remember that when I saw the scene that Zhi Shu said the true feeling to Xiang Qin, what I were feeling. But now, after nearly 14 years later rewatching it, I cried happily when Zhi Shu and Ziang Qin tell the true feeling of each other. The masterpiece of my childhood.

When A-Jin's tears falls down at 28:46 damn I can feel his pain. I can relate to him.. I've been inlove (or had a crush) with someone for 5 years. But realizing the pain it caused me, I've finally taught myself to let go of that person even though it's really hard. It really hurts when the person you love the most can't give you back the love you wanted. But then, love can't be forced. Just wait for someone who's more deserving of the love you're giving.

Upon rewatching this after so many years ago, I have a theory that XiangQin had depression growing up and losing her mom while she and her father were in poverty status, but she tries to be positive by being bubbly in her personality. AhJin has been friends with her for so long that he knows about this and grew attracted to her resilience in life. ZhiShu barely noticed how brave she is until she started showing up, with both their parents being friends with each other and helping out XiangQin and her dad. It took ZhiShu this long to realize he likes the bubbly charm XiangQin has and becomes jealous of AhJin when XiangQin finally pays attention to him. Even in the sequel of this show, that depression seems to have grown and ZhiShu barely realizes that he needs to actively show he cared for her or she'll fall apart with how long she'd been holding herself up with a positive facade, trying to hold that simple bubbly personality. The amount of times that he had to step in to prove how much he loves her in the sequel shows that, especially since he was part of that depression when he kept rejecting her love in the beginning. Both parts of this plot is so well-written. I give kudos to both the scriptwriters and the manga collaborators involved in creating this idea. ISWAK will forever go down in history as one of the best romcoms ever written.

First time watched ISWAK when I was in college. Now 15 years later., I still fall in love with zhi shu and qiang xin. For me, this is the best adaptation from the manga. All the characters are well develoved. Just like real family, and they are really like couples. 👍
