i feel like mamamoo is that only gg that you can invite to do a last minute / emergency performance XD they dont need to rehearse. they know what to do once they get up on the stage

JYP's compliment about them, "It feels like 4 solo singers, not as a kpop group" I agree 100%! Each one of them were great individually!

I agree and disagree. But it could also be a lost in translation error. As they have proven these past two years in particular, every single one of them can kill it as a soloist (and I can't wait to hear more solo work from them in the future). But when they are performing as Mamamoo, I never feel like they are 4 separate artists/soloists that got lumped together in a group. They have a totally different vibe and dynamic when they perform together. They synergize so well and never feel like they are on stage competing against one another. Honestly, they are pretty much one of the only girl groups (maybe the only one) that manages to be entirely different as soloists than as a group, and they do it all without crafting a fake image, struggling to differentiate all their solo and group releases, or forcing an image or sound that is inauthentic just to be different. They are four soloists. They are also one group. And somehow they manage to pull off both without precluding one or the other.

@@TheLurkingDerm They created a group where they said from the start "we are Mamamoo, we are different" . They kept their identity and create different stuff everytime they sing . I didn't see any other group having that much fun singing together ! It give a really warms vibes .. It's like telling us "we love each other. . And it's ok if you love us, because we love you too" .

Shame he can't/won't create a group like this for his own company since it's so obvious how much he likes them. Probably doesn't know what to do with a vocal driven, limited dancing group. Look at Aespa, terrific underutilized vocals.

MAMAMOO are untouchable gems of the 3rd gen. I think every fandom respects MAMAMOO to a degree, may it be a Once, Reveluv, or Blink.

I'm going to mute my personal bias here. I LOVE Mamamoo but wouldn't consider them my absolute favorite K-Pop group. But my god, their career, discography, charisma. talent, solo work, and personalities really make them THAT group: that once in an industry or generation artist.

Tough for me to choose. Wheein is the most stable and nuanced. Solar best range and power. Hwasa most emotion. Even Byul-ie would be a lead vocal in any other group.

Sometimes when you hear or see a group where all members are powerhouses it can seem as if they are trying to outshine each other when they sing their part in a song. I don't see this with Mamamoo. All 4 women are amazing artists each with unique talents (as we seen in their solos) However, when performing as a group,instead of trying to outshine each other, they work together to compliment each other and this in turn creats these amazing performances.

In my humble opinion,(no expert), as a K-pop goup Mamamoo is very different from the rest. While perfectly coreographed of course, the stage performances with their small gags and direct communication with the audience are usurpassed in this otherwise hyper polished business were nothing is left to chance. Their choice of music is also quite different, often more leaning to soul, jazz and funk.

you know solar’s voice gets me every time… never goes unnoticed the fierce sound, so beautiful.. SO powerful, and i know they are all powerful vocally in their specially ways.. BUT WOW! every time i am blown away by her extreme musical ability and spunky fierce sound!!! simply forever, mamamoo❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

I LOVE that they incorporated 'flying into the night sky' I cannot stop listening to their rendition here, their harmonies simply sound so beautiful and intricate, it's their raw singing and they do it so naturally and effortlessly. their team chemistry always always shines.

Mamamoo is five artists in one group. IMHO, they are the only girl group where every member can be (or already is) successful as a soloist, and they do it while maintaining a unique sound and image that feels authentic to each of them that also differs from their group output.

OH MY GOD!!! It's Mamamoo!!!! Are they the tightest gang alive?? There's just no one like them!! This is next level talent. There are no others doing vocals like THIS!!! How much do we LOVE each of them??Their dancing is really outstanding here too. Mamamoo ALWAYS comes to tear the house down!!!

My newborn can't look away from mamamoo videos and I am quickly becoming a fan of their music as well. Unexpected for me as I listen mostly to death metal and punk rock but these ladies are just amazing

i feel like he kinda had a group like mamamoo with the wonder girls but after that he switched up the formula: a group with lots of members and perfectly synchronized choreo instead of 4-5 really strong personalities

it's not just jazz. have you seen all their performances in Immortal Songs(14 in total. no other female group has so many)? very few groups can do this(maybe 1-2) and make it seem like it's theirs. if anyone watch their Immortal Songs medley from their concert they can't figure out that they don't do this music. they can do anything. Wheein can sing trot and make you think that she's a trot singer. watch Wheein - Gimme Gimme cover in MBC radio. in King of Masked Singer Wheein fooled 1 of the judges to think she's a rapper that can sing.
