I translated a really good Rikopin interview a while ago where she shared her life story. Starting from her childhood, her decision to go to Tokyo to study music, to Sketchbook, and now RAS. Not only are there a ton of parallels with Rokka, her story is also really inspiring to me and a lot of what she said still resonates within me from time to time. You can read it here: twitter.com/ForrevaEiEn/status/1258080641553293314 Or here: docs.google.com/document/d/1qguO_kxU0imbvMvarQUhupFo1GV6l_oqVxZcggPNZl4/edit?usp=sharing

It’s really inspiring to see how Riko started and where she is now, always hardworking and perseverant. But, the most inspiring thing is where she’s going to be in the future. Thanks for the sub!

been a fan of rikopin since 2012. she was the reason i've taken up guitar and although they weren't very famous with little content to grasp on,, i wanted to support them. i was so sad when they disbanded but was happy for their careers especially when rikopin pursued her seiyuu career and now with RAS. thank you for translating this old interview of SKB, it takes me back and makes me tear up a little now that i finally understood them better after so many yearrsss ♡‿(・×・)‿♡

I'm always really envious of fans like you who've been following their fav seiyuu/idol/band from the very beginning, when they were just starting to make their mark and haven't accomplished much compared to now. Y'all are true fans. I just went back to read the part in the Rikopin interview (read it if you haven't!) where she mentioned she was distraught when SKB had to disband but was grateful for the experience which she took with her to the next stage of her life. I have a lot of respect for how she is always seeking to learn and improve, while never losing her heart of gratitude ♥️

@@eiensubs i just read it and it broke my heart even further when she admitted about her loneliness when SKB disbanded. i knew yuu and hiroshi were very upfront about their dreams even before SKB disbanded,, i remember hiroshi even admitting he wasn't adept with the bass and only SKB gave him the opportunity to do so. but throughout all that, i never hear much from rikopin's pov. all i knew is she would've loved being a seiyuu and i was excited whenever she voiced in small indie animations back then. now,, seeing her in Bandori, RAS and recently she voiced a character in Arknights, made me wanna support her even more. and i'm proud to be in the position to do so -⁽ -´꒳`⁾-

glad riko and yuu are doing well but hiro sounds sad from one of his recent tweets. breaks my heart that they weren't able to make it big. they were so talented and damn they worked so hard. i wish hiro was more active on social media. he posts videos on his yt channel sometimes on a side note, sept 28 is a special day for me cus it was when they debuted and it's my bday too. hope this video never gets taken down

Yeah the brutal thing about the entertainment industry is that it's so competitive and success often doesn't correlate with how much work is put in. It makes me sad too whenever I see dreams get shattered by the unpredictable whims of the crowd or the management. At the end of the day I guess the best we can do as fans is to keep supporting those people we know are doing their best.

As I get older, the more relatable this becomes to me. As a musician, one of the hardest tasks is to make it in the industry, and even if you’re doing your best, some projects never manage to succeed. But Rikopin teaches us a very important lesson: Even if you fail several times, never give up. Never run away from your reality and dreams, and keep on fighting! I admire her even more nowadays, Riko’s a massive inspiration for me!

Thank you for your comment. I just watched some of your amazing covers (you might like Bandori's Ave Mujica), and you're so incredibly talented!! But not only that, you clearly seem to be enjoying yourself, which is perhaps most important. Keep holding onto those dreams. Even if they appear far away and out of reach, never lose sight of them. Those dreams will take you places.

@@eiensubs thank you so much for watching my covers!!! I really love Ave Mujica!!! I actually made a cover of Black Birthday for a Facebook page called Cafe Bushi, where I used to make spanish subs (yeah, I’m the same guy that asked you if I could use some of your work). I might not sub anymore, but Bandori is always on my heart and mind.

Thanks for reuploading this vid! I didn’t have the chance to see it on your old channel and I’m glad I got to see it now. Kinda makes me emotional seeing how Bandori is a doorway for many of the seiyuus to relive and achieve their dreams: Aimi, Saechi, Amita, Raychell, TsumuTsumu, Rikopin and probably many more that I don’t know.
@eiensubs
@eiensubs 3 жыл бұрын
Glad you could watch it! Just off the top of my head, for most of the seiyuus from the four irl bands, Bandori could perhaps be said to be the brightest highlight of their career, at least up till now. It's not often one is fortunate enough to land a role in a project that makes it this big in the industry. Of course that's not to say that Bandori's success isn't in a large part due to their hard work, but you could never be certain of that when you first went for the interview and signed the contract. For them to stake their livelihoods and futures on Bandori and to see it pay off must be extremely reassuring. Thinking in this way I can understand why all of them are extremely grateful to be part of Bandori.
