What I love from MXTX's novels was that female characters are given depth and unique personalities of their own. Not just like the generic extra female from most bl that exists just to get in between of the leads.

Yup I totally agree with you. In mxtx's every work the female characters have their role to play and they are smart and some are king but strong which I really like. It's really hard find female characters like this. One of the biggest reason why I like mxtx's works so much.
