Synopsis:
During the Song Dynasty, there were five sworn brothers living on Xiankong Island. They were: Lu Fang, known as the Sky-Piercing Rat; Han Zhang, the Earth-Burrowing Rat; Xu Qing, the Wall-Penetrating Rat; Jiang Ping, the River-Overturning Rat; and Bai Yutang, the Silken-Haired Rat. Bai Yutang was young, spirited, and highly skilled in martial arts. Upon learning that Emperor Renzong had bestowed the title "Imperial Cat" upon the Southern Hero Zhan Zhao, Bai Yutang felt indignant. To mock Zhan Zhao's perceived incompetence, he used his skills to climb walls and roofs, and stealthily broke into the Golden Palace at night. However, he fell into Zhan Zhao's trap, and a fight ensued. Unwilling to engage in a prolonged battle, Bai Yutang quickly fled.
Back on Xiankong Island, he belittled Zhan Zhao's martial abilities in front of his four brothers. While they were chatting and laughing, the female knight Ding Yuehua visited. Picking up on their conversation, Ding Yuehua mocked Bai Yutang for being no match for Zhan Zhao. To restore his honor, Bai Yutang vowed to defeat Zhan Zhao.
