lol unless there is abuse and/or neglect involved, don't tell someone how to raise their own child. It's uncalled for, unnecessary, and disrespectful. While yes, children need to build their immune systems and being exposed to the outside world (e.g., parks, jungle gyms, etc.) helps, it doesn't mean you should disregard teaching them proper hygiene. Like what do you mean you don't need to have them wash their hands all the time? You are joking right? That's disgusting. LOL Washing your hands frequently is something ALL of us should and need to do everyday (child or adult). It is through our hands that we cross contaminate the most and expose ourselves and others to a plethora of illnesses and infections (many that are deadly), including COVID-19. Helping your child develop a strong and healthy immune system does NOT mean purposefully increasing their risk of getting sick. Majority of children play in the park, with other kids, roll around in dirt, etc. throughout their childhood, and that is enough to expose them and build their immune system. You do NOT need to get actually sick in order for a child to develop a healthy/strong immune system. That is a very dangerous and ignorant way to think. If her or anyone's child gets sick, they get sick. But in the meantime, teaching children proper hygiene, especially frequent handwashing, is the correct/right thing to do.

No one is a doctor. Lots of advice like wiping the mail turned out to be wrong. Just wash your hands when you get home. Or once you leave a place or before you eat.
