if you disengage from camilla on flyer-only terrain it seems to teleport you to the nearest land tile. So, on Lief's map, for instance, if you're to the left of river's central meridian it"ll send you back to the bank of the starting area but if you're in the right half of the river it'll teleport you to the bank over by lief

Note that on adaptability it also says "or until you activate the ability again" so no stacking

quick reposte+ and flare from soren engage with soren is busted. ivy kills max out skirmish on maddening and i dont want to imagen what veyle can do with those same skills but with double crit from flare bonus with a +5 engrave tome

I feel that assign decoy really does break maddening wide open by making dodge tanks usable. corrin yunaka used to only be a hard mode thing but not anymore.

Don't sleep on Soren, he is ridiculous. Also doubles your crit chance, I had my mage go from 34% to 97% crit chance lol

One detail with Storm's eye is combining it with Pannete. That flat crit +20 allows her to reach the 100% threashold. You can ohko 1-1 enemies. Or, if you use her with Tomahawk 1-2 ranged just bump up with some engraves. Its damn silly how good it is

Soren with spoiler character you get a the end of the game is nuts. Flare doubles crit rate for her personal tome which has extra crit.

I slotted these into my current Maddening run and it has been the inverse for me so far. Soren is my favorite and Camilla is my least favorite. Bolting, Cataclysm and Rexcalibur have all been super useful already!

The Decoy skill was really useful in the dang Camilla paralogue for me, I had Anna with Louise intercepting that mass amount of Griffon Knight for ages

im plauing maddening without dlc and find it very challenging. im worried installing dlc is gonna make the game easy and every decision wont matter as much as it does now.

Ice floor is honestly broken. I think Camilla is the best band for alear and makes mine a strong attacker. Dark Inferno makes essentially a huge wall of fire which makes it to where you can separate a boss from its reinforcements and put them into fire that deals more damage to them

Sorrn is literally the most broken new DLC out of the 3

Imo yes the freebies in wave 2 reduce maddening difficulty and the dlc emblems arguably trivialize the game. At least most of the emblems require paralouges that force you to earn it

Soren is by far the best of the three and now the best mage emblem ring in the game. Hector is pretty mid and Camilla is kinda bad.

The 20 silver ingots is kinda too much

DLC is definitely pay to win. Emblems are pretty clutch in this game. Using them not only makes you're overall squad more powerful through skills, inherited, and stat buffs but the extra maps to get them levels your characters more much earlier. Especially in the beginning. At least to use the 3H DLC you'd replace the classes with your own and their campaigns were separate from main game. I bought 3H DLC but for Engage I'm skipping it.
