The full restoration of ‪@Shmee150‬'s Clio V6 project begins! Step 1, we're taking it to ‪@sgmotorsportservices400‬ to remove the engine and a run through of the upgrades we're planning. The car needs a lot of work, but now it starts!
After picking up the rented trailer from GT Towing with our E500 Estate, we loaded up the Clio V6 that was bought recently, ready for a lot of work to begin. The Clio in question was bought knowing it would need loads of work starting with the engine out for the cambelt and clutch, but pretty much everything needs looking at or changing in some form.
Our first stop is to go to SG Motorsport Services, where Scott is as knowledgeable as any person can be on the subject of RenaultSport Clio V6s. He took a look and first inspection of it before, but this time around the work begins including pulling out the engine for some mechanical work first, while we take away the body to start some visual changes.

When shmee said, I've never seen a car reverse as fast as I'm driving, for a split second I forgot the Clio, but when the reality hit I was about to choke on my dinner in laughter :D :D :D Always love to see this side of shmee, Brad and Tom are a good influence on him ;) Keep the content coming guys :) and please get LED lights under the lifts :-)

Cant wait to see what colours are gonna be picked for the clio . This build could be fun . One small thing to remember when you have a car attached to a winch cable is to loosen the cable slightly as it holds the front of the car down and as the car bounces it can cause damage to the subframe and also front bumpers due to the sudden stopping point caused by the winch cable

This time around I hope Tim actually drives the car after it’s finished. The last 2 project cars were kind of abandoned just as the projects were wrapping up. Maybe the message is, the build out is the fun part and once finished it’s time to move on to the next one.

I remember Tim mentioning in the last video about people still not being able to tow over a specific weight capacity, without doing the trailer test. Anyone who passed their test pre 1997 doesn't have those same restrictions. My licence allows me to drive a car and trailer up to a maximum combined weight of 8250kg as well as anyhting up to a 7.5 tonne van with a trailer up to a max combined weight of 12000kg.

Since they removed the need for the test last year, anyone can now tow with combined weight up to 7.5t

Lane two and three are for passing only with a trailer you’re supposed to be far right number four lane, a cop will let you hang in number three lane for a bit but you’re supposed to be on a roll for passing.

Slap on a turbo or supercharger! Not sure would suit the car but pushing the hp up a hundred or 2 would be epic with a nice exhorst! Like you did with the focus back several years! And a sequential gearbox! Then you have a true little BEAST!!!!! God bless all🙏❤

True, but there's a hell of a lot of dead space in there, really suprised how long it's taking to get things squared away properly. It should all be looking a lot more "permanent" now IMHO
