Damn, 0-100 Km/h in just 8 seconds. No wonder takumi is so fast! For an 80's corolla, that's insane.

And Takumi had tuned AE86 which had 140HP(150 in anime) and rally transmission, so we can understand how Takumi did can be that fast as High-tech sports cars

I am here to look for the difference of yours and mine, i have a 1986 MR2 AW11 mk 1a, i love how my 4age changes tone when twin cam kicks in at 4800rpm, i feel like mine has a more significant change in tone than other people

0:52 dang that sounds exactly like the one from Initial Ds live action. While many say it's dog sh*t. You gotta admit they put up a very nice sound on the AE86 which makes me watch that movie over and over again for the engine action only.

With only 128 HP, I could assume that AE86 could go beyond 200 km/h, possibly around 210 km/h. Look how easy it hits 180 km/h limited top speed.

128hp was actually a really gross power rating, especially for a 1600cc engine back in the 1980s, a few years later (probably at the end of the 1st gen bluetop production) the engine was re rated at around 120PS or around 118HP in liquid output, the only 16 valve 4AGE engine to ever have around 128hp was the last gen silvertop red writing one, with better technology

If you guys think this is the same Engine Takumi had, you are wrong, the engine in the show was fiction, the closes thing Takumi had in stage two,three and four of Initial D was the Formula Atlantic 4AGE-U which is what the engine is based off of.
