ENGINEER Trap Farming Is Better Than You Think... Bloons TD Battles 2 - money is very important in this game, and that's why I like using these little guys! The perfect counter to your opponent building up eco early... see for yourself how much of an advantage you can build up with this.

I was running engi before people started sniper farming. Worked extremely well. Then people started sniper farming and I would always lose. Works best on maps where both the sent and AI Bloons come out of the same entrance.

@@sampletext9426 I tried to make it work. Everyone I met so far is running sniper farms and stopped eco sending the second they see me throw down the bloon trap. I got so salty; I just insta surrendered. I have yet to unlock sniper upgrades... Truly is a op af tower, next to spike storm + dartling lol.

I've always loved Bloon Trap in Battles because you make money from it when you normally don't get money from bloons, you make money off of your opponent's eco

Rubber to Gold (and Lead to Gold) also accomplishes this, as far as I know.

Been trying trap myself, but have been running into more and more sniper farming, which means I get out-farmed as they stop or barely send any eco at some point. It does give me good rush potential since it starts cashing sooner than sniper.

Heard the most effective way to beat sniper is to just spam grouped cerams rush

@@nakolulu411 That really doesnt work, 0-4-2 snipers shred grouped cerams, i got all out ceram and moab rushed and my dark knights murdered the moabs and the snipers just shredded the ceramics

Fun fact: Holding the keybind for sending eco then pressing windows key will send bloons without having to press anything (press same key to stop eco/rush)

doing anything that make the key released method doesnt resolve (minimize the window, open another window, click the taskbar) make the key keep pressed. this carry to next game so remember to disable at the end

I’ve been running dartling ninja engi for a while now and it is op as hell, i dont even have mad or master bomber yet but i can already tell that them plus overclock will be insane late game. Also since dartling ninja can easily survive early to mid game by themselves you can probably just ignore getting bloon trap against farms or snipers and play normal eco with the bonus of overclock late game.

@@ReneRodriguez-qd8pj to be fair, so is dark knight. But of course, dartling you can start with and can defend early game with. Supermonkey you really can't. So if you bring dartling, you have early game covered, and a late game option in MAD, and sort of BEZ. If you bring supermonkey, you have mid game sort of covered, but can't really do much rushing because you have to sink thousands into getting up a half decent supermonkey, and you have late game covered. So it's a good balancing choice by NK to have bottom path supermonkey be better against MOABs than MAD, because you have early game with dartling, you don't with super. Game balance is very nuanced. Can be fun to think about. Very difficult though..

Probably worth including the clips where your opponents stopped sending eco into your trap which caused you to fall way behind on income. Saw a few of these matches live for once and the story is a bit different when a competent opponent counterplays you.

That's why you use the extra money from the trap and dump it into fast eco, like in sending loads of grouped pinks.

@@nmotschidontwannagivemyrea8932 you don't get much money from the trap though. I think it was kt extinction who just swapped to red eco and the trapped rarely popped even with natural baloons being eaten

But if you don't play farm/sniper, what do you do ? Not sending bloons will doom your own eco, while the engi player can still send eco bloons, the alternative seem to save for an all-or-nothing rush. And that's a 3500$ almost wasted, but unless the game is cut short by said rush that's not a catastrophic loss.

Engineer is by far my favorite tower, I loved the changes in BTD6 to a more support focused tower, and now in Battles 2 you can do even more fun things with them

Only big downside is that so many people use the sniper farm strat, meaning they don't send a single balloon to fill your bank account.

Love more use of Engi, but those first foam spots. . . While useful for AI bloons, allow for towers to pop some regrows early that the foam could have stripped. It just gave more time for blonns to get down the track. (Also from my experience 2 or 3 Foam engi's with faster engineering de-camo, de-lead and de-regrow everything that I have ever come across, but I would still have something that can hit camo lead. Just in case something goes terribly wrong.)

Lol I use tack instead of dartling, for some reason I just love this combo. I don’t even understand the Meta, I used to use snipers for Moab damage before I saw supply drop, and I just like the cost of tack and camo detection from ninja

I’m new to battles two and I’m pretty angry because normally, in battles 1, a supply drop sniper would easily solo a Moab because of the insane fire rate, and would only need a bit of splash to deal with the insides, plus the supply drop would give 7000 dollars, and here we are with a garbage supply drop sniper that shoots super slow and gives like no money. Bruh moment right there

Here's a lesson friends: Always watch a video and read the comments BEFORE taking the advice on the thumbnail. I grinded for Bloon trap and have lost every game that I've used it on. I think I'll grind for Supply Drop now.

The engine bloon trap on dual lane can be godly but when you become dependent on it and then it messes up, it can really screw you over. Mayan, garden are such maps. Still looking for spots than can be more reliable.

Frozen bloons pop traps instantly, if you have a 4xx engi near your xx4 this will happen

I'm just wondering, is boat farming any good in btdb2? Like, 023 boats are roughly 4k total and provide a somewhat decent amount of defense (and a bonus 300/round) with other towers. (Also I'm planning to have snipers too since it improves camo defense and has supply drop)

If 4-x-x Ice works like in BTD6, it's really good for stripping the Camo AND Lead properties off of DDTs. Making them just very quick Moabs.

Traps are absolutely glorious if the opponent is ecoing. Otherwise against snipers or farms it loses, but perfect counter for eco strategies
