Hydroneer 2.0 is finally released, and this time I create a fully automated fish cooker to make millions!! It took a long time though... Maybe I need to try multiplayer in Hydroneer?

Hey Matt, here's a little hint i wanted to give since episodes ago: You don't need those pressure tanks near the start of pipe network. As it says on those pressure tanks, you gonna use them at places in the pipe network which pressure is low. As they "increase the pressure up to 100% of the starting point on the water source" which means they do nothing near the starting point.

Gold engineering fact for the day: Pure 24 karat gold is soft enough that day-to-day bumps and scrapes of a pure gold ring against other metals and stone would cause significant scratches or dents in the metal! For this reason, in addition to cost of purification and processing, gold in jewelry and household implements is almost always alloyed with other metals for enhanced hardness and durability. I love that the fish just stand straight on their heads on the conveyor belts 🤣 amazing

i think if you added a splitter, with a boot ontop near the start of the furnaces, you would remove them from the line, i'd also set up splitters with small/med/large fish, sending them down a conveyor line with the furnaces needed to cook. you could easily make it so the very large fish get priority, with the rest being divided to seperate lines, put a cart under each end and they will all fall, allowing you to wheel off to be sold. making a list of how many it takes to cook a large,/med/small would be handy

You don't even need seperate lines just figure out the amount of furnaces needed for each type of fish and put a splitter kicking them off the one line behind the respective number of furnaces. It's just a single big line of furnaces with multiple exit splitters THat is if it works that way. If the cooking process is resetted when changing the furnace a full sorting system with lines for each fish type/size is needed but in that case you only need one furnace for each type and you have to slow down the conveyor enough to cook the fish.

the amount of furnaces doesnt matter, the fish cooking time is reset on every furnace. the reason why the fish was being cooked farther down the line is because the belts slowed down enough to give the furnace enough time to burn it

Instead of increasing the pressure you could have used the reduced speed of the later conveyors to your benefit, by placing furnaces only there so each furnace does more cooking. Add a big pipe run at the beginning so you could place the active furnaces close to the fishing spot.

I dont recall what the item is called without booting up the game, but the water pressure, there is a piece you can place that resets water pressure to what it was at the intake pipe, instead of "boosting". Also, there are pressure hooks you can put on your intake to increase base pressure before it even goes through your system. Vid suggestion: completely clear out the Dwarven cave by mining/etc. Hope you're doing well

For the next foray, use the resource teleporting mod to automate putting iron and co-whatever it was called into the big forge, including it's left over from building the drills, I did the left over bit and doubled the max drills I could make in a minute, I just stood there and flipped the switch most of the time, pro-tip, clip the corner sheets into the pot, not aligned for bars to full onto but rather crash into and fall back, they just get stuck or fall out sometimes the other way

Easy solution for the fish, place a sorter at the fire right before the specified fish burns. That way itll kick a perfectly cooked fish off as it passes, allowing larger ones to continue to their respective pre burn sorter. 👍

Computer engineer here. What you’re looking for, my friend, is a D-flip flop. Where the output is slightly delayed The logic repeater is called a “rising edge clock” and you can use a miss mash of and gates and and not gates to make a flip flop.

Use the sorting devices with single lines of furnaces with different lengths, OR make a loop of furnaces with sorters taking cooked items OFF and sorting out the burnt stuff. There must be a solution, you're an engineer!

I'm a relative newcomer to this channel, but I've watched a large number of your videos. I've also come to the conclusion that I have neither the patience, nor the attention span to be an engineer. I wish I did, but there's simply no way I would be able to grind the number of hours that RCE does to make the things he makes. I'm honestly amazed by it.

You can add pressure adders to the supply tube itself. You can add 4 of them and they do not look like the thing you used

Why not include a sorting section? you can use the area at 15:48 as a sorting station. you can take out the boots to keep it from going through the fire. (dump it back out into the water). This next part I'm not sure if it will work I don't know if you're able to sort raw from cooked but you can try sorting the cooked fish from raw fish. you'd have to have multiple sorter though due to the different types of fish :/.

Just a workflow idea so you can keep your quality and an offsite editor, record in HD high bit rate. then if you're using davinci resolve (i think i saw that once on your screen) create a project with your footage, then genrate proxies. Send the proxies to the editor, they can be compressed to mud if you like (and you feel like causing them suffering). They can edit it, send you back just the project, you render and upload from origionals in HD. sounds like a pain but it's actually pretty straight forward, about 5 minutes work + render time. (with some pre-planning and possibly a batch file you may be able to record the HD and proxy at the same time and skip some steps too.)

There is actually exploit which you can use with well near start. You drop any amount of coin in the well which gets turned into a shoe, then you cook the shoe and sell it for small profit. It's not enough to get you some serious money, but the more you put in the more you get. Of course you cannot burn the shoe, othervice you turn 1m worth of coins into just 1 coin.

Why not check for weight then use that information set a timer for which you stop the conveyer on a fire till it Cook's. It will probably take a lot of trial and error, but I thunk it should work.

Should go to icehelm and build a few hooks for the pump, also the tanks should NEVER be put straight after the pump, that's a total waste, the hooks will give you more distance before you need to put in another tank

You could have spammed so many conveyors and furnaces so that if you could cook a fish the way you were trying to cook it, you'd see the fish get burnt and then take out the appropriate number of conveyors. Or you could have really sharp eyes that look for the slight color change...
