Larry Gomes was an underrated batsman. He was the glue in the West Indies batting line up. The stroke makers could do their thing around him knowing he would play the percentages

That one-handed boundary from Malcolm Marshall really summed up the whole series, and West Indies complete dominance and superiority

Yeah, unforgettable. I was watching that live in our T.V room at boarding School. One of the lads with us said exactly what you have. “That just sums it all up, they can beat us with one hand behind their backs.” They were simply too good..

Who was the 'man of constant comments' who insisted on reiterating the commentator's statements, and then telling us what we'd watched or were watching anyway? I noted a choice of Jim Laker, Ray Illingworth or Tom Graveney.
