Belgiums no9 is brilliant,fast accurate .. . England were not clinical enough, lots of creation but not many goals .Russo and Daly etc just not sharp enough .Misses galore .We were beaten by one player but she was some player

There was nothing overly impressive with Belgium, as England's woeful finishing saved them from a hiding and in reality they were played off the park. They also got the breaks - first goal was not a free kick and- in fact should have been to England and the winner was from a handball penalty - contentious at the best of times.

That was a helluva game! England didn't take their chances, Belgium did. It was a close game, and those acting like Belgium blew England out, are trippin'. 2-2 until the 85th minute ending 3-2? Close game. Belgium were firing on all cylinders on attack, while England's attack wasn't. Great game nonetheless. For me, the handball penalty was lucky because it was a defensive reaction, you can see her flinch. She even kept her elbow down by her side, but raised her forearm in front of her in a defensive posture. Definitely hand-ball contact, but she was hardly flailing an outstretched arm at the ball, she flinched lol. So -imho-, that's lucky for Belgium. But great, hardfought win by Belgium for sure.👏

great match loads of turn around playmakers from mid/wingers to make the offensive plays, but defense needs to pick up the pace & start clearing it, not just running side by side next to their striker and letting them past on by effortlessly. loads to build on

No sé si soy solo yo, pero siento que después del mundial Inglaterra bajó muchísimo el nivel, antes era un equipo casi impenetrable y con buena creación de juego, no perdonaban ninguna, sin embargo, ahora mismo se ve la debilidad que están mostrando en esos aspectos que antes dominaban. I was amazed too after a clash of heads like that with the England player lying still for 14 mins before been taken off in a stretcher . They are much more stringent now in rugby union with a clash of heads . Both players must go off for a HIA , head injury assessment and rarely do they come back on again .

What a heavy group this turns out to be! The Belgians stepping up to the next level! But I heard that the winner also qualifies for the Olympics. The trick is that it then will not be an English team but a UK team. So the UK had 2 chances to qualify in 1 group. That stinks heavily.

Handballs in the box shouldn't be rewarded with penalty kicks. It distorts the game way too much. England was knocking on the door for the majority of the 2nd half, and then Belgium get one lucky break, and a 75-80% chance at goal. It's bullshit. Give teams a free kick from the spot of a handball and let the "offending" team build a wall.

Great to see Fran Kirby on the field again. Wullaert should have finished it in 61st minute after her brilliant 1st goal. English commentators have obviously not watched France/Lyon 2015-16, Netherlands 2016-17 & Spain/Barca from 2018. Plus their understanding of modern football is basic to say the least. Accurate passes from the deep & perfect through balls by Louisa Necib, Sherida Spitse, Alexia Putellas, Patri Guijarro & Mapi Leon over the years have been exhilarating to watch as a neutral. System in physical leagues have to change. You can't win games anymore with just 2 or 3 technical players on the field. Turnovers in midfield due to passing errors are getting punished by every team.

@@purveyoroftruth7096 For a woman keeper yes. Compare with Coutois, De Gea, Alison, Sanchez etc , she is short. Even the shortest men's keeper Pickford is 6' 1". To reach certain areas such as top and bottom corner of goal, you need both athletism as well as reach. Mary Earps is possibly the best women goal keeper but she could not reach that perfect free kick.

Bronze made superb runs, good first touches, what a great rb... England needs to work on reducing openings in their defense when all out forward, the defenders are most times on the flank side and a good space in the midfield for the opposition to exploits It's better to be caught on counter attacks on the flanks than in an open midfield/middle
