Man, I'm Croatian and I can sincerely feel you. Those emotions you are experiencing right now is what we did during the past 20 years. I can't eat, sleep, think, I might even die until Sunday kickoff. So effing close. 1998 World Cup run made me a Croatia fan and as a 5-year-old boy, I remember glimpses of that time(3-0 Germany in Lyon is the brightest of them all). I have never thought I would feel like that again, as that child back in 1998. A lot of disappointment during the last 20 years and I don't even know how to see life past Sunday, so closeeeee

Having lost my dad last than 2 months ago, I must say that it was absolutely a beautiful thing to watch this vlog with you and your dad. I have to say I am somewhat jealous because I would give anything to be able to enjoy this World Cup with my dad but thank you so very much for sharing this experience with us. Condolences for England losing, but keep the memory of being there with your dad in the forefront and it will take the sting out of the loss.

Destroyed isn’t a good word. England didn’t play with a midfield. It’s like if Uruguay were to reach the semis and faced France and lost. Also England is full of young players. Dele Alli and Lingard aren’t creative midfielders. They’re runners. While you have Modric and Rakitic who are creators and can also be runners.

Φοιβος Καρπαθιος England’s entire squad had less than 50 caps bar Gary Cahill. Plus none of the England players are around champions! You look at the list and who’s a champion? Oh but look at France! Mbappe, Pogba, Kante, Matuidi, Griezmann! Mbappe is only 19! Pogba is 25! This French squad has FAR MORE potential to win World Cups in comparison to England! You can’t compare those two because England don’t have the same caliber of players! Yes they had an easy route, but no route in the World Cup is easy! It’s only perspectives because France had face Belgium and Uruguay and not Sweden or Colombia.

arham drsabaather nah, Kane has had a average tournament tbh, the only positive is he was consistent on penalties. Of his 6 goals 3 were pens, obviously he had to score them and he did but with that many pens I just don't think you can call him the best player. Personally I'd say one of the back 3, they gave England something you haven't had in a while and that was solidity at the back, also they were able to play football too. Pickford and Trippier are good shouts too.

Sorry Spencer but I cringed when you said Kane was on the same level as Modric, the best centre mid in the world probably and a potential ballon d’or winner. Kane’s a good goal scorer but has nothing on a world class player like modric. England didn’t beat any good teams (colombia are ok but they didn’t have their best player and it took penalties) and you were all saying you were gonna win it after you beat bloody Tunisia and Panama.

Perisic with one of the goals of the tournament....ouch!. The saddest part of the match, was England kicking off and trying to score while Croatia was celebrating. It was caught on video and is on YT to see. Classless.

KinG DJ I’d say that you were expected to beat every team you faced until Croatia. When you compare england’s root to the final with france, it is clear that you had the easier draw. They played argentina, Uruguay and belgium which are all better teams than everyone you’ve played. Just saying that this is the best opportunity england will get to reach the final and they’ve bottled it.... and harry kane is only good for tap ins and penalties

In the First half Croatia was all over the place. Croatia couldn't put anything together and was very poor. In the second half and all of E.T Croatia were really good. Croatia put pressure and it paid off. Walker was poor. He should not be playing CB. England this match was very poor. Only one shot on target in 120 minutes. Very poor. Croatia deserved to get to the finals more than England.

Croatia were shocking in the first half. England should of won it there and then. But from the second half onwards Croatia dominate. Croatia deserved the win more than England.

At the end of the day Croatia deserved the win. From the beginning of 2nd half onward Croatia dominated us. But we had the 2nd best World Cup run ever. And the future looks very bright for us. So proud of both England and Croatia.

I was really sad yesterday but at the same time very proud of this team. Experience matters a great deal when the stakes are so high and that was the key factor which helped Croatia win. Great job, Spencer and I'm sure these guys will bring it home in one of the next tournaments! Never stop believing!!!

I was in this stadium for this game. It's indescribable to be at a game of this magnitude. There's an aura that surrounds the stadium, that projects itself of being an event much much bigger than just football match.

The very first football game I ever saw was the W/C final 1966. I was 7 years old and have been waiting 52 years for a repeat. I have been living in Germany for the last 30 years and have had to put up with some stick from the Germans but, this year, I could hold my head up high and was proud of what my team achieved. I believe the team wasn't ready this time but will be in 2020 and 2022. Loved your commentary and suffered with you Spencer Fc.Thank you and...Come on England!

Great video but as a Scot I've just one question. Why is the 'English' national anthem God Save the Queen when it is the British one? I mind 'back in the day' the English supporters flew the Union Flag whereas now it's (correctly) the flag of St George.

I'm a 14 year old from Trinidad and Tobago England has been my team since I was 4(believe it or not) I was laughed at and mocked for supporting England for the last 10 years And now our brave 3 lions made it to a semi finals Further than Brazil Germany Spain Portugal Argentina etc. And I'm genuinely proud of our lions Southgate, Kane, Pickford, Stones, Maguire etc. Thank you for the most amazing performance I've seen in an England team so far I was in tears at the final whistle but thank you I'll forever be grateful to you lions❤🏴🦁

Not a frequent commentor or an England fan (American and a big USMNT backer, so that's how my fandom has gone), but Spencer's outro really hits why we love this game and why we love sports. I'm not going to pretend football (soccer, for me) is my favorite sport but these international tournaments and big league matches around the world always have my attention and the passion we see in fans of sport always hits home. Great content from Russia, Spencer. I've enjoyed them. Hopefully next time around I'll at least have the USMNT to back in their R16 exit ha.

Even though it ended in the semifinal for England, I had a great time being along for the ride as a new England fan from USA. Watching all the games on BBC and ITV have made me much more sympathetic to the English squad. It was a lot of fun and I hope you pull out a victory in the third place Match!

I don’t why people say England had an “easy route”. Sweden qualified over Germany, Colombia have some quality players. Being in a semifinal is an achievement no matter who you play.

They say that because they did have an easy route. Go back and look at other countries routes to the final in previous world cups. England's run this year is probably the easiest of all time.

Nathan Highley Sweden is a ok team that was very inconsistent and Colombia struggled a little bit in the group stage and didn’t have their main man. They of course got lucky with their route. They would’ve lost if they went against Spain, Brazil, Uruguay, etc.

I’m American y’all should be proud if you get 3rd or 4th we’ve never even been close to winning it like England and many other countries. Our best finish ever (in the modern era) was the quarterfinals and I don’t think we will ever win a World Cup.
