We must have the courage and confident to make a bold move, let alone to a total stranger in a foreign country. I'm shy and reserved. In fact I'm still learning as how to overcome the fear of talking to strangers. My spouse is very good at this. He could break the ice in a blink when meeting a stranger. After all, practice makes perfect. We have got to take a stab at it! :)

It's not easy to make friends in a foreign country. It depends on your character. If you are outgoing, cheerful, or curious about other people, it's easy for you to talk to others. If you're introverted, shy, reticent, withdrawn, taciturn, uncommunicative.... then it's unlikely that you will talk to anyone. I feel comfortable chatting with people online, but I'm rather shy when I meet people face to face.

These google software are forbitddened to access by turning off the net gate which is requested by government.

Hi! I think that the best way to make friends is while you ' re travelling by plane or by train because if the it 's a long trip, to have a conversation with another traveller seems a good a idea to spend time and enjoy the trip...sorry! My english is not so good 😅

The most difficult thing in communication (make friends) is poor language level. I'm enough friendly, but maintain extreme caution with strangers. For me, ex-soviet person the opportunity to travel abroad became possible relatively recently. A trip around the ex-soviet union doesn't pose any problems making friends.
