very well explained, but you don't need to excuse yourself. It's is the way English is. None apologizes for their language being difficult.

Hi! Thank you for this useful and informative video! I'm a spanish speaker and you're so right, we do have a lot of trouble telling apart most english sounds and vowels. I've been practicing pronunciation for quite some time but I'm still having a bit of trouble with the sounds explained in this video. The ZH and Z sounds are the most difficult for me. I can pronounce them kind of right when saying the words slowly but whenever I try to speak at a normal speed, the sounds jus won't come out. It's so frustrating haha. Also, I don't really hear any difference between the J and CH when they're at the end of a word, like in LARGE and CHURCH. I don't really know how to pronounce LARGE so that it doesn't sound like LARCH. By the way, I had no idea Cheryl was pronounced with a SH. English phonetics and spelling are indeed complete chaos. I have to check my dictionary every five minutes to know if I'm saying words right. Fortunately, I already know many words by heart.

+carguz rer Hi, you're welcome! :) To be honest, these sounds are very similar. LarJ LarCH. Put your finger on your throat. With the J sound, your throat should vibrate a little bit because you're using your voice. With the CH sound, you won't feel any vibration because the sound is made from air passing quickly through the front of your mouth. Keep practicing!!
