Paul, this is the best video I’ve come across so far, showing the components of a high line. Nice job

Very neat system set-up. Just thinking how important is taking the catenary angle into consideration and would you recommend a backup track line?

For the shock absorber on the left, would the blue rope need to be longer? If its short then the shock absorber won't be able to extend and take the shock out?

A buddy of mine told me to look this up. As an NDT worker I gotta ask. Who has that much equipment on site?

Landyn Lyerla many technical rescue teams and urban search and rescues have that much equipment.

It depends on the job Landyn. I'm an IRATA L3 rope access technician and I have never needed to use a proper english reeve, but I could see how high angle rescue and certain emergence6 personnel would need such a setup.
