A really important measure for me is temperature. I came from a hot country, the usual temperature there runs around 25 degrees Celsius and it never gets colder than 10. When I was searching to places to move, Canada was not the first one on my list. Considering another facts, like job opportunity and security I moved to here, and, by the time, it was winter. I had to adapt really fast to the weather otherwise I knew that would not be happy. Turns out that the fact that Canada has lower temperatures that my country didn't really bothered me, because here almost all places such as people's homes and malls have heat inside. Even at transportation has it and for people get around the city there are some tunnels and you don't even need to go to the surface in heavy snow. Although temperature is still a important fact for me, I don't feel I ever felt cold in here.

in Brazil our measurement system for lenghths are, Kilometer, meters and centimeters. for temperature it's used Celsius. for age it's like in Canada. sincerely i have no idea when someone measures something in inches , feet and miles

As of now the most important measurment for me is age. My older son is three and younger is 1.5. Feet, inches and miles can be complicated at first, but when you get used to them they're OK. I like pounds VS kilograms. If you measure the weigh of food in a store then for the same money you get 2 pounds VS 1 kilogramm : ))) But if I watch my weigh I'm fatter in pounds... I'm afraid to drive faster than 70 mph, and you?

in my country same measurement are used. no difference except we use centigrade for measuring heat and cold like we say today the temperature is 10 degree centigrade which is very common and everybody understands but fahrenheit to celsius is also used. rest is same as it is used in west.

Sorry, I wrote out of context. Weight measurement is very important and useful for me because i am very keen to maintain my self and stay healthier. I have also strong reason to maintain my self because recently i have got accident and lost my knee strength as compare before. As per my clinician suggestion, i would need to be underweight, which will help to get speedy recovery from pain and might be chances to get better strength as like previous.

There are about 10 kilometres from my home to my office, but when I go home it always seems shorter for some reason. :/ On some days the distance between my couch and my fridge is the most important one. I usually measure it in steps, though, ;)
