I think generally, it should be noted, or perhaps explained that Lucy is using the most common meaning for the phrasal verbs she covers. Many have other usages. Context is everything.

Every day i should take a round in the various videos in the youtube about English lessons . I get surprised about those who want to learn people the American accent in an exaggerated way: just if i want to say : " by force ". Oh ,no wounder! But that,s what i get. Hello miss Lucy, I'm a young man but I love cooking, and I think the reason is that I lot eating, ahh, a lot!!!!!!! I really don't like to whip anything up, I prefer to spend the needed time. I use to cut up tomato and onion in order to cook a good curry of fish. I never let it boil over, and I always fry it up before making the curry.
