In 2020 after the COVID-19 outbreak, Laobai and Fangyuan closed their antique store in a hutong in Beijing, and moved out of their downtown apartment to a two-storey house in suburb. There’s a forest nearby and a river on the opposite side of the road. Their daughter was born there and grows up near to the nature. The couple fill their garage with old objects they have collected, making it a new antique store. “Everyone should speak out what they like and live the way they prefer,” said the couple.
2020年疫情來臨時，老白和芳園決定關掉胡同里的店，退租了市中心的房子，搬到北京六環外的一棟兩層小樓。這個家被他們喜歡的器物填滿，呈現出豐富、放鬆的質感。家附近有森林，隔着一條馬路是潮白河，女兒米粒在此出生，在親近自然的環境中長大。2013年畢業時，他們在北京開出一家小有名氣的器物店「土氣」，經常賣一些別人看起來是破爛，但自己覺得特別美的東西。現在，他們把家的車庫改造成新的「土氣古道具」，每日與這些老物件們相處。「每個人都必須負起責任高聲說出自己喜歡什麼，並走出一條路」--這是他們信奉的生活態度。
