do you know if the regular shop boosts are now the same? or is pre ordering the only way to get it?

I got the heroic edition from my friend and I don't see the boost anywhere, he doesn't know either

@SpawnofYakub_ I didn't play on launch day. Problems with our ISP. Otherwise I've been playing since then. Partly because I didn't realize that story would be gated behind Renown, after lvling my main to 70 I went on to level a few alts with useful Professions. Also partly because I really wanted to run the main story first, I ignored a lot of side quests and the like.

@SpawnofYakub_ But, since the Bonuses activated in 10.1.7, I've been making more progress on Rep. But it's still going to be a long frigging time to max to 20 Rep. *maybe* I'll be done before 11.0 launch.

Haha I feel for you mate! It sounds great with the next expansion being very alt friendly and they stated that want to respect that players time too, so hopefully it’ll be even more accessible for you next expansion 🙌🏻

Ironically when I was a teenager and a big asmongold fan, I was so hard against boosts and anything that saved time for casuals. I used to think "It's a game made for no-lifers exclusively" and now I am the poor shmuck who grew up and has a job so it's lovely to see this stuff honestly.

Yeah some crafting boosting too would have been nice as it’s very lengthy to catch up on that now isn’t it!

Yeah you’re right mate, almost time for a new season etc so it’s all good! And the boost will still be decent even if someone boosts in 3 months time, the gear will be perfectly fine to go straight into the emerald dream and mythics etc

Lfr itemlevel in 10.2 will be around 445. So this boost that gives you 424 is pretty useless and complete waste of money

@@HavocR24 This boost gives you entrance for LFR which is the most important point...Also it's a LEVEL boost, not ITEM level. Next time shut your mouth before you say something you at least wont sound stupid

Hey! Wow it’s been a while ey, for a return after so long, I would say level up again first and see how you feel, use the boost at a later time, that would get you back into the swing of things a bit easier and potentially in a less overwhelming way, but it is up to you! Also because, I don’t want to recommend boosting and then you find you don’t like your boosted character and end up levelling anyway. There is the speedier levelling to look forward to coming in the pre patch next week too, and the event to get some catch up gear, so it’s a very good time to start back. Hope you enjoy your return!

Hey! Welcome to the expansion :) Yes, so if you go to the waking shores you should be able to start the original dragonflight campaign quests there, that eventually take you through to some dragon riding tutorial quests. You'll get a fair bit of gold from doing all those quests too and learn about what the heck is going on! I do have some other guides on the channel about gearing up, dragon riding etc, that should help you too, but don't worry, it's always quite overwhelming coming back after a long break, you will get to grips with everything eventually :D

Yeah, i think they will keep the paragon system tbh, gives people a reason to keep doing stuff

Now this is something I couldn’t test unfortunately, as once you’ve done it once, it unlocks for all your characters, so my boosted character already had things explored and world quests unlocked etc, so I’d need someone else to be able to give you a super clear answer there unfortunately

Honestly, i think it'll also help with people coming back late in the expansion and new players coming in just wanting to JUMP IN, yknow? them not having to grind stuff out and just be able to enjoy the game is great IMO, at lot of players are going to feel like "My work has been invalidated" but thats not the point, they are moving towards a system of "respecting the players time behind the keyboard". its an MMO so obviously grind is built IN to the experience but i see two major thins this is useful for: 1) Say you want to ge t anew friend into the game, but you dont want to have them feel the awful lonliness of grinding levels in BfA while they figure ot how to fix their new player experience 2) youre an altoholic like me, and have played every spec, and just want a max level DPS spec (because those take forever to level) on the other faction, or another race? @@LazyBeastGaming

Hey mate, so you don’t need to do the campaign as far as I’m aware, I could check this as I’d already done it on my main. But they have said as of 10.2.7 which is next week, that all campaign unlocks will be available regardless of you completing the campaign or not. Unlocking the emerald dream starts with a quest from Shandris in Valdrakken as far as I remember, it’s been a while haha! She sends you to the plains to do a wuici quest there

Definitely nice to have those boosts in the bank ready for when you need them! Nice plan :)

Now then, good question, I can't actually test this as once you've completed the DF campaign on one character you don't need to do it again on your alts, the quests were available for me but I didn't need to do them and it had world quests on my map straight away. If you've already got access to world quests now though, you'll have that on your boosted character straight away too.

Hello :) You can ignore it and move on, although to get to the Emerald Dream when the patch launches this week, you'll need to complete the last campaign quest with Shandris that starts in Valdrakken, it doesn't take long to complete at all though!

Yeah don't worry! it is a bit of a mind boggle for someone coming back, you can boost a character and simply play that if you wish! But if you want a rep gain increase on your main, boost an alt and then play your main to enjoy that, it'll make sense when you see the buff your main gets in game :D

@@LazyBeastGaming Yeah, coming back is pretty confusing. My original realm is dead so I was thinking about boosting a new character on a populated realm and basically start fresh and while I'm at it try out the Demon Hunter and Evoker as I've never played those classes.

I believe they plan to do a 10.2.5 in the spring to move into the new expansion. But still, I hear ya…

Yeah apparently there's going to be a season 4 in dragonflight and all the raids will do the fated rotation again like they did at the end of shadowlands

I would say at this point looks like they lost a significant amount of subs. It's more important for them to get them back then is it to annoy the 10% diehards.

The renown thing especially. It's crossing a line I feel like. I've been slowly building renown every now and then throughout the entire expansion and now people are just buying to pass me

Ahh damn, id submit a ticket about it mate if you haven’t already, I know it sucks but other than that, see if there’s any world quest 1H’s that are available first or run some dungeons or do the dream surges and buy a weapon using the coalescence stuff, that’s probs the most guaranteed way to get you a 1H quickly :)

Hey, yeah it’s worth it! It’ll get you caught up nicely and you can still do the campaign stuff if you want to catch up on the story. The revival catalyst you can use straight away after you hand in a tiny quest (which is basically just to go to the catalyst) but you just can’t use the boosted gear for tier, so you’ll have to go do some content to get some other gear and turn that into tier

@@LazyBeastGaming I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that my new shaman had rank 20 and rep. I haven’t been motivated to get reputation. This expansion, but I know I wanted the customization options for dragon riding so when I saw that last night, I got excited but then it bummed me out.

If it never arrives I’d submit a ticket or contact them through the blizzard store :)

It won't address it on your main.. but.. if you boost a character so it gets the 20 renown, then you'll get boosted rep gains on your main as a result of the alt being level 20 renown with them. So it'll be way easier for your main to catch up.

I've done exactly this, but my main doesn't have the buff and not getting boosted reputation. I even opened the renown menu to check, they're all 20 and loamm 12, still nothing. :/@@LazyBeastGaming

Hey! You can do the preorder and get the epic boost straight away if you like yep :) I’d probably recommend keeping hold of the boost unless you’re absolutely sure what class you want to play, but maybe level something up first so you can pick the game up again and get used to it all!

Dragon riding mechanic is taking over the old flying mechanic in the new expansion but old flying will still be in until then

In the patch coming up this Tuesday you can unlock old world static flying by exploring every dragonflight zone (including the new one) and completing all campaign quests in every dragonflight zone including forbidden reach and zaralak caverns. I gotta say though, you are very much in the minority in your opinion. Dragonflying feels like actual flying, what you want is swimming through the air.

There’ll be 2 options which you can choose between: Dynamic Flight (Dragonriding) and the traditional flying You will be able to use both everywhere

You can use it whenever you like! Some people hold on to them for ages when they’re ready for another alt, it’s totally up to you

Hey mate, did you allocate the glyph point son the dragon riding ‘talent tree’ bit? Got to do that for each new character you make (sorry if you’ve already tried this😅)

Did you fix this? I Just boosted and started with no glyphs to put in the tree?

@@MrRawwr543 I had submitted a ticket I tried it the way the ticket said too. But it didn’t work…so I submitted another one I’m waiting for today’s update and then I’ll go in and try if it works for me I’ll let you know.
