When digitizing embroidery designs, using only a fill stitch for all the details can leave a design a little flat or simple. However, knowing how to use embroidery stitch types and properties to add depth and texture to simple designs can enhance a design greatly. Taking advantage of the nature of a thread, which is meant to reflect light, can take your design to another level.
In this Embroidery Medic episode, we’ll transform a simple flat design that was sent into our Facebook group into a cleaner, more detailed-looking representation, using stitch types, properties, digitizing theory, and a few other tricks I’ve got up my sleeve.
