In this video, I take you through my design process for the links tab redesign of the Mavely app. Not only did I enhance the link management features, but I also completely revamped the user interface (UI) design to create a cohesive and visually pleasing experience.
As an experienced designer, I walk you through the user flow and user experience (UX) improvements, starting from the redesigned links page, which serves as the focal point of the app. From implementing search, sort, and filter functionalities to optimizing navigation for mobile users, I demonstrate how I enhanced the "My Links" section to make link management a breeze.
Furthermore, I delve into the primary tool that empowers users to efficiently track and organize their affiliate links. With visually appealing link cards showcasing images, titles, and date stamps, along with informative banners displaying link statistics, I ensure users have all the necessary information at their fingertips. Additionally, I explain how clicking on each link card provides in-depth analytics on a dedicated analytics page.
But that's not all! I also share insights into my design decisions for the Mavely app. By incorporating elements of modern Swiss design and a touch of chic design style that characterizes the Mavely brand, I created a unique visual identity. Shying away from the conventional black and white Swiss design, I opted for a lighter color palette with shades of gray and utilized outlined shapes, complemented by the vibrant Mavely limeade color for eye-catching call-to-action buttons. The result? A fresh and distinctive app design that sets Mavely apart from its competitors.
While the UI design exudes novelty, the interaction design remains familiar and intuitive to users. I leverage popular UX elements such as cards, sliders, scrolling, and button navigation to ensure seamless usability. Moreover, I highlight the improvements made to the brand section, including tabs for popular, recent, and favorites, as well as prominently displaying the commission rates on brand cards. These enhancements enable users to discover new brands and make informed decisions regarding their affiliate links.
