I think mostly cause leaders are the ones really used to or taught well how to do acceptance speeches? Idk but mostly the leaders are the spokesperson for the groups so they all probably go into panick mode like "bro wait I wasn't trained for this?!?!?!"

I'm a youth leader/pastor in my church and I'm always the one in charge of the public speaking 🙃 no one else wanna do it 😭 it was terrible when I had social anxiety, but I'm happy I'm more comfortable now.
