i read somewhere that people said it's because of their covid effect that they didn't taste the wasabi and they said there isn't any in the rice cake because they didn't want engenes to worry.

Although they have fully recovered at this point, some of the members are still experiencing some post effects due to covid. You could check this in their ot7 vlive for their first ILAND anniversary, they had a short conversation about it at around the 10 minute mark I think? But still, none of the rice cakes actually had wasabi in them. The article actually offended a lot of the fans since close to no one actually said that and is speculated that it was just posted for clicks. They're healthy and will continue to get better in time👍

I think why they didn't taste the spicy one because their taste are just slowly recovering so they might be tasteless like what they said in their recent vlive that they can't smell anything and taste(sorry for my grammar)
