Brother in this time some sio are coming with inbuilt ec bios 128 kb if sio get faulty and we need to replace new one then we also need to programm its ec bios again for example ene kb9012 it’s common number of programmable sio you can google for list of programable io and save it so if next time any programable sio will come you can get information about its programable or not i hope i have shared some information about your question ..

Mostly in dead case if all volts looks good and dc jack light not glow the need to progamm

If motherboards have progammable sio then some time need to programm If we are faceing dead case just like ec bios issue Only difference is old board have external ec bios ic but now sio has its own internal ec bios ic thats why we need extra sio programmers 😎

PLEASE CLARIFY bro 👇 * if we have 36 pin keyboard connector do we need to get 36pin board or 32pin flex connector enough *can i know what file it is that we program to the chip. Is it bios file ITLL BE A BIG THANKS IF YOU REPLY

Need 36 pin flex for that 32 pin will not work

We program Bios file like normal spi but for sio size will low like 128 kb
