I replace the crankshaft pulley on a Clio 1.9D. I explain why I do that and how to do that.
This pulley is mounted on all Renault engines 1.9D F8Q:
Clio 1, Clio 2 , Express, Kangoo 1, Megane 1, Scenic 1.
I notice a noise when the engine is running, I remove the
accessory belt. I check different possibilities about the noise : water pump pulley, alternator, the belt and the tension.
I check the old damper pulley and compare it to the new one.
Then I refit the new pulley.
First I tighten with a specific torque, and next with an angular wrench.
Finally I check if the noise is again present or not.
