David Godman has extensively written on the life, teachings and disciples of Ramana Maharshi, an Indian sage who lived and taught for more than fifty years at Arunachala, a sacred mountain in Tamil Nadu, India. He first visited the Tiruvannamalai ashram of Ramana Maharshi in 1976. And for 8 years, between 1978 and 1985, he was the librarian of the ashram. In the last 30 years he has written or edited 16 books on topics related to Sri Ramana, his teachings and his followers.

As the author of the book 'Be, As You Are', David is deeply familiar with the teachings of Ramana Maharshi, who is considered the most important Indian saint of the 20th century.

@@michaeldillon3113 David is simply pointing out that Bhagavan is the Gurus of Gurus. Once you find Bhagavan you’re seeking is over and all you have to do is be quiet. 🙏

What We call I', is the Only Real Steady Point, in Existence, Behind the Motion-Ocean, Stuff-side of Life. Even its 100% immaterial Nature, it have the most Objective Status. There is Only the Same I', it is the Being behind the Living, that No one have ever Seen. Our Eternal Consciousness, is mirrored in the Rainbow. I', and the Consciousness, is the Cause-Less Cause. X1, and X2. Life can't be Created, Life is the Creator. Consciousness can't be Created, can Only re-newed and developed.

David usually doesn't read any comments, but curious if ever communicated with Robert Adams over the years...whose visit with Ramana at Arunachula at the age of 18 or so 'stuck', to put it mildly. One of the few Americans to have done so, and his satangs echo all that Ramana was about.

David and Robert never met, David has said this on many occasions. David has also spoken very highly of Robert ever time he has spoken about him.

This is how the One Self gets tricked into seeing a world. There is only the Peace of God. When a soap bubble pops Where is the loss ? The same space is there, Minus the gloss ! The Self exists with form and without...

David Godman...it has come to notice of many people on internet, that Robert Adams made up his story of being at Ramana Ashram...Some of if is on the authority of none other than Kitty Osborne who has written very vehemently on this matter..also Ramana Asram has no record of Adams being there , ever.Could you clear this matter up pls ?

Ramana and Nisargadatta's teachings are basically Hinduism with bells on. Ramana's 'final truth' makes all perseverance to 'enlightenment' pointless,..." "There is neither creation nor destruction, neither destiny nor free will, neither path nor achievement. This is the final truth''.

And that’s the system itself - The things/objects are over (Cloak) emphasised and the awareness is under-played - (Thus awareness is not being conscious, it’s what we’re conscious of - To tell you your trapped by inferring that there is a you which could be free to think there’s a better way - But there’s an ideation of an image called selfing - The mental state points to the after as being the before - (Language emphasis there is an us and uses the subjective experience to make an object of ideation IE: Your the all that’s been thinking about) But there isn’t a self doing the selfing that implies there’s a self doing it - There’s a mechanical system doing: Thus is reinforcing the nouning that your not - Not. ‘Knot’ Mamma has died in the night - Looking from the bondage of self (As self) - Contracted energy or pseudo eye strap from chest to head over cloaked by a superimposed phantom which orchestrates the Trinity which actuates the body. It may have a real importance to being wrong because it will be right about how wrong it believes you are, so your wondering why your messing things up because then it can be right about how wrong you are.
