No one can come anywhere close to Michael's singing of the song Wildfire. Wish we could all turn back the clock and go back in time! Love the Garden of the Gods!

Dang!...Michael has aged very well....he was always good looking...but,now he is mystical looking. Blue eyes and white hair is a nice combination. Love his music...saw a concert back in 1988.in Austin Texas...and his showmanship just blew me away. His back up band is stellar. I could listen to him talk all night long.....very personable and authentic. He has been a true treasure to this particular musical lore...Thanks Michael.

Michael's Geronimo's Cadillac album is one of the finest collections of songs I've had in my life. I was fortunate to see Michael perform on stage at the Armadillo World Headquarters in the early 70's.

KENW can attest to how humble he is in real life. Sadly, sometimes with celebrity people lose that human element. MMM absolutely is as kind and generous as he ever was!

Saw MMM @ The Rocking 3m this past July 2021 on a rainy night under the tent. He is a great artist and has real humility. I got to speak with him before and after the show. I had told him that i had seen his PBS special in 1991 and told myself I would like to see in person someday. Murph replied back to me, well I hope you don't wait so long to come to another show. Next Summer I will go see him again @ the rocking 3 M. It is a great setting for a show like Murph puts on and the Chuck was mighty good as well. Just hope it doesn't rain so we can be under the New Mexico night sky instead of under the tent. Murph also performed a great tribute to one of the very best cowboy singers there ever was MARTY ROBBINS.

Wildfire is of course a great and beautiful song. I saw Michael live as the warm up act for the group America in 1978 in Dallas. He brought his little 6 yr old son out to play and sing on one song. His grown son now has played in His band for years. Michael came out of the Austin, Texas Outlaw country movement with Willie and Waylon, but He was always more of a easy listening pop country/ Eco/nature performer along the lines of John Denver. Wildfire was his 1975 breakout hit single that propelled His Blue Sky Night Thunder Album to be his best selling album. Though He's had other hit songs Wildfire is just one example of where one really big hit song can lead to a whole career. In the last 20 years Michael has specialized in Western/Cowboy songs, and has had a career rebirth in that genre. But He always does Wildfire in every show.

🐎Wildfire is an allegory. The horse (a spirit) knew she was on hard times and went to go save her. He was lost! The only thing that was strong enough to pull her out of her demise, was the love she had for that magical horse. She went to go find him. At the same time, a man somewhere else was on hard times. She got on that magical horse, and they both went and pulled him out of his as well. Only to go together w that horse to start over in life! That is Wildfire to me. Wildfire~ The most beautiful song ever written...

I heard him tell the true story behind Wildfire before. The unwatchable wild mustang that gave up his life verses being caught by humans and I have to say that mustang made the right choice, just look @ our wild mustangs now n all that are ending up in killpens.

Great song…not sure I like the story…take control of spirit???. Prefer to think of the song simply as a magic horse and a story of a woman and a man. keep it simple
