Amazing what these cost today. As a kid the local hardware store sent out a train catalog at Christmas time to make you drool!!! I can remember a 2-6-4 locomotive for $79 dollars. I thought that was expensive!!!!

Hi NICk! One Layout that I wish you would do is s ROADSIDE AMERICA 109 Roadside Dr Shartlesville, PA never mind it brings me great Sadness that it’s closed. It was truly one of the best for 85 years I wish I had the money to buy it.

Wonder how often they have to dust the fine selection of locomotives and train cars on display. Can't imagine they are flying off the shelves at those prices. lol Thanks for your video very nice train store.

Great video! I have that Premier NYC Empire State Express Hudson at 6:33 and that Milwaukee Road F7 Hudson at 7:17. I've also got all 10 passenger cars for both those engine's. Thinking about calling them up and snagging that Premier PRR G5s. Beautiful stuff in that place.

Been there many times, really good train store, friendly staff and good selection. Great video makes me want to take a ride to the store.

All I can say is WOW! I have bought from them in the past and seen the online store but I had no idea they had such a massive store. I may make the drive up to them one day just for fun. Their prices seem to be really reasonable also. Good group of folks to deal with. I'm sure I will buy from them again. Thanks for sharing.

Great video of a great Train store there. The Lehigh Valley set in black & orange is of the mid 1930’s scheme the Lehigh Valley did & had on its Asa Packer, John Wilkes & Black Diamond trains before they went to Cornell red & black with silver stripes in the late 1930’s. I have the book Lehigh Valley Volume 3 as well as Trackside around Scranton, PA 1950-1976. 7 members of my family worked for the Lehigh Valley railroad from about 1868 to 1976.

Great video. It looks like they have a great selection. Most of the engines looked reasonably priced, though a few were raised, I am assuming; due to demand and market conditions. I hope to visit the store sometime this summer when visiting relatives in PA.

I like the model buildings I was always into that. We had one in Montgomery Alabama and it went out of business. The stores I visit now is preassembled and not fun.

Well, if you spend some time looking on eBay you can find very good to excellent post war Lionel, MPC and LTI Lionel at reasonable prices. I've gone back to post war and even some prewar Lionel because it's more reliable and easy to repair if needed. All that sound and fancy smoke is nice as long as it works. When it breaks down and it will repair parts will not be available and upgrading to the newer system will be expensive.

Man oh Man real nice train shop but I got sticker shock . I'm a working man and can't spend that kind of money maybe I should have been a Doctor or a Lawyer. I guess I'l just have too go too flea markets and garage sale's too get my 0 ga trains, nothing wrong with collecting MPC era train's. At least I won't go broke.

Have you seen LockerNuts massive storage unit buy of new in box European (mostly German) model train locomotives, cars, sets, and accessories? The crazy thing is he bought the unit at auction for ONE DOLLAR because the only other person who showed up didn't want to deal with so much stuff and didn't bid. He's sold over $50K out of it so far. It's only mostly train stuff. There's also collectable model fire engines, boats, ships, military, a large amount of model airplanes and vehicles, much of it in 1:87 scale that fits with HO train scale. There's also a bunch of unbuilt WW2 warship and submarine kits, with 3rd party brass and wood detail upgrading kits. Apparently the guy was gathering all this stuff with plans to build a massive HO train, airport etc setup but never got around to it. Or perhaps he was just hoarding, since there's so much in other scales. His kids live in the Eastern US and cleaned out three of his storage units but decided they didn't want to deal with any more and let the 4th one go to auction. I bet they've been kicking themselves for that.

Man, I bought six Lionel 21” Union Pacific passengers car and six MTH Metrolink premier passenger cars and a MTH F40. They have good stuff.

RIP MTH, Klien-modellbahn and Klienbahn.

Three enormous model train stores that I've dealt with over the years are Trainland in Lynbrook, Long Island TrainWorld in Brooklyn, N. Y. and Nicholas Smith Trains in Broomall, Pennsylvania outside of Philadelphia. I'd love to have the money in my pocket now that I spent in those places. Speaking of money, some of those prices in Brady's are really shocking. Makes me wonder what my collection is worth. I'm mostly into "G" scale. I have a lot of it. I wonder what my "G" scale Blue Comet set is worth. Does Brady's sell any "G" scale? I wonder what my "G" scale RDC cars are worth?

what is the future of model train hobby do fathers still connect with their kids and will they in turn carry the torch for future generations . it seems like todays youth may not attach themselves to some of those hobbies of 70s and earlier kids . i have no kids so i have no idea
