Lyrics: The Watcher
Darkness...
Fear...
Life...
Cold...
Left alone with no will
Walking in footsteps of the fallen
Blinded by lack of reason
Indulging the tales of doom
"Farewell
May the darkness bind them
No one will
Remember the pain when we are...gone..."
Desolate...
Unconscious...
Lost...
Where lies the ones I've slain?
Did I become any wiser?
Will their anger hunt me down?
Did I sacrifice in vain?
"Farewell
Hear the sound of solitude
No one will
Walk the bridge, to darkness overcome"
Settlement...
Trust...
Relief...
Dawn...
Guide me, watcher in the skies
Transform the forces of the dead
In my dreams I'll hunt them down
I now know the truth

Enslaved are an incredible band. They never disappoint live either. I like that the youngest of the second wave black metal bands turned out to produce the most mature music! Their progression of black metal is commendable.

Yoo, random Norwegian guy here. If you are going to do another Norwegian double header, you should check out Pagan's mind, Dimmu Borgir and Satyricon. Also, my favorite Enslaved songs are Storm Son, Death in the eyes of dawn, Building with fire, ethica odini, and Fusion of sense and earth :D

You guys should check out Immortal - Call of the Wintermoon music video... perhaps on your own time without a reaction, but it's the most RIDICULOUS and funny music video ever made. I think a reaction to it would be hilarious, though. Haha. They're one of the legendary Norwegian BM bands :) It's a 11/10 comedy xD

In short, Norwegian television asked the band, "Hey, do you guys have a video we can show?" to which the band lied and said, "Sure!" Next thing they did was to grab a camera and make... 'history'.

This band once drove to the leader of the liberal party, and "downloaded" (stole) one of her sheep because she wanted all music to be available for free, and they did this as some form of protest xD, they also filmed it, it's on youtube,

You can go even a bit further back but than it will become more Black Metal. Even there are some good songs on Frost and Eld.You can try "Gylfaginning" of Frost or "793 (Slaget Om Lindisfarne)" of Eld. I would recommend "Eit Auga Til Mimir" or "Nidingaslakt" of the album Blodhemn

I still think you should check out one of the singles from their last album next - "Storm Son" or "The River's Mouth". It's quite different.. I guess more progressive and less black, but still Enslaved.

The first time I heard this song my reaction was more like when Antonio heard belphegor for the first time :D Now i love Enslaved very much. Nice melodies and doomy atmosphere. Just how i love it! Please do a Russian double-header one day with Arkona (folk metal with a female vocalist) and Sunless Rise (melo-death).

I haven't seen you guys react to much Doom Metal. Would love to see you react to Cathedral's Cosmic Requim and Hopkins's Witchfinder General. There's also Candlemass's Black Dwarf, Bewitched(which actually features Dead of Mayhem fame as a headbanger in the video, and was directed by the same guy who directed Metallica's new video). I'm a huge Doom/stoner fan. I love Trouble, Candlemass, Cathedral, Down, St. Vitus, Pentagram, The Obsessed, Witchfinder General. If you haven't heard Lucifer's self titled 2015 album, it's one of my favorite albums of that year. Nicke Anderson (Ex- early Entombed main song writer) just joined as songwriter/drummer, it was Gaz Jennings ex-Cathedral who co wrote the first album, but has since left. They're working on their second album now and have released a couple singles for it. Check out Lucifer's video for Azreal....it made me fall in love with the band. Also fell in love with Orchid after I checked them out when Kirk Hammett added them to his Fear Festival. Orchid's videos for songs like Wizard of War, Capricorn, Helicopters, and Sign of the Witch will have you instantly banging your head and tapping your toes. Also With the Dead(featuring ex members of Cathedral Leo Smee and Lee Dorrian) is probably the heaviest doom band that I know of right now and they are fantastic. They just released their second album not long ago. Check out the video for Living With the Dead. The Skull's (featuring ex Cathedral member Brian Dixon on drums, ex Pentagram guitarist, and a couple ex Trouble members..primarily Eric Wagner on vocals) debut album For Those Which Are Asleep is fucking amazing. Anyway, don't expect you to react to all those, just some suggestions if you want some great stoner/doom stuff to check out and enjoy on your personal time. Oh and forgot to mention check out Death Penalty featuring Gaz Jenning(ex-Cathedral), they're a one off band that were really good. Favorite song....Immortal by Your Hand, Children of the Night, Eyes of the Heretic....oh fuck the whole damn album.

Its due to alcohol restrictions. The venue and promoter has to get a different license for all ages show so most venues want to sell alcohol with no worries so they put that restriction
