The new parliament building : it is present in New Delhi, India. It is a large building built inbetween 2020-2023 to replace old parliament which was built by British government in 1926 and was inaugurated by viceroy Lord Irwin | New Parliament Building India Malayalam
Chola Sengol is a historical sceptre from Tamil Nadu, which was received by first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to represent transfer of power from the British and was kept in a museum in Allahabad will be installed in the new Parliament building to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 28, Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed on Wednesday.

We should always respect Indian culture. If we want to expose our culture invest on good museums, develop our tourism with clean India let attract people to India. Why should Indians travel abroad for higher education and travel plan. With this new parliament bldg how is our culture getting exposed. Maybe for 1 Yr it will be a breaking news after who cares about these things. Govt. Should think some thing good for people's survival not just to win votes by making sensation news

One major aspect u hv missed is that the savings govt makes on a monthly basis while many major offices shifts from pvt properties to this. Per an independent valuation it comes to more than a Cr per month! And the savings multifold as time goes n the full Central Vista gets completed. 👍

The idea is good, but if you look around your premises until today, you will see that in India, there are still many villagers who have to walk kilometers to collect water, people who die while waiting for timely doctor consultations, and a lack of basic necessities such as quality food, clean water, medicines, and effective air pollution control. It would be beneficial if the basic needs of the common people were addressed before moving forward.

Exactly our India is so beautiful and have talented population. We are loosing our next generation who are looking for better lives abroad. Some crores should also be invested for higher education system and local basic amenities. There is no single clean public toilets in our country and medical facilities in government medical colleges are still like 20 yrs before system. When we say parliament requires to be expanded to accommodate more ministers, medical colleges also requires to be renovated to facilitate and accommodate more patients as population and poverty level is increasing.

The History of Chengol in the Indian Parliament and How it came to Nehru in 1947. Rajaji, India's last Governor-General made this, chengol following the Chola Raja custom of change of power - the old king giving chengol to the new king. This was first given to Mountbatten. Mountbatten gave this to the first PM Nehru, on 15 Aug 1947 as the symbol of the change of power from British to India. It was kept in Allahabad Museum and Modi brought it to Parliament, where it belongs.
