Deprogramming loyal dairy consumers who for decades have been under the spell of an industry with deep pockets and considerable political influence on Capitol Hill is no small feat. But Oatly gave it a shot-and Big Dairy gave us a pretty easy target. Over the course of one fateful afternoon in Washington, D.C., we crashed the International Dairy Food Association’s annual Capitol Hill Ice Cream Party. Through the power of soft serve (and actual true facts about dairy’s negative impact on the planet) we worked to loosen Big Dairy’s grip on our brains.
