Dragun is harder than lich tbh. In the same run i took like 6 hits from the dragun and 3 on the lich (0 P1 1 P2 2 P3) no gun upgrades happened in between the 2 kills and the same gun was used.

This isn't a new thing. The final boss of all 3 ninja gaiden games (on nes) has 3 phases. Dracula in castlevania 3 has 3 phases.

+Icei YT I can link you to my full review if you'd like, but I would say if you like Isaac, then you might like this. A lot of the BoI players seem to have issues with the difficulty, mechanics and what have you, so these are things to also keep in mind. With that being said, you can easily put in 10+ hours and not even make it to the final floor, much less get an ending/make it to hell.

+Admiral Vic Yeah, i got 900 hours+ in total of Afterbirth and the vanilla BoI, it was rough getting used to the mechanics but after my 10 hours of failure and rage i beat the dragun for the first time :)

He lucked out a ton at the end by cancelling all those bullets with the stinger

He wasn't just spinning. Usually that is one of his hardest attacks to dodge since he covers almost the whole screen with bullets, but there used to be a glitch where even though an explosion would cancel the bullets, he wouldn't register the attack as being cancelled and still keep spinning. It has been fixed since then and if you cancel the bullets with an explosion, he moves onto the next attack.

@@Amodh1257 Yes, thank you. My post was from about 4 years ago, and I consider myself now to be quite the EtG player. In fact, I have beaten the Lich while still having the Old Crest on my person, perhaps one of my greater personal EtG achievements.

Logically you can't travel back in time to correct something that never happened, because there wouldn't be a reason to travel back in time in the first place. So if I went back, prevented getting frozen, then there wouldn't be a version of me that prevented it from happening, thus it would logically happen again. It could also be that this paradox is why you "throw away" your future. You essentially have no way to correct the past, thus your future is just trying to correct it.

+Anatale As for me, I think that "killing the past" is the absolute last thing that any character accomplishes during their stay at the Gungeon. Yeah, I know how the Lich is unlocked by defeating the past boss... but, judging how the Lich's ending works, I'm more prone to belive that, in story, everyone is able to get their bullet just after sweeping the entire Gungeon from every enemy. Story and gameplay segregation?

BoI is more of a game about randomized stats, where as Gungeon is more about having fun with a concept. I wouldn't say one has more content than the other, but I would say that I see a lot of the same items multiple times. " Well, all the endings seemed to be going with their concept of having fun. They're not about a larger story, saving the world or any of that, but rather, they're references to things. Convict references Hotline Miami, Marine is Doom and the Hunter is Wolfenstein. I imagine the pilot is a reference to something too, though I'm afraid its not coming to me (I thought Gradius, but it doesn't feel like Gradius). "Btw how do you fight the Lich?" I got to say I agree with you because do to the fact that this game is so much harder and challenging(that goes without saying) it adds that element of fun, including all the stupid guns and gun references (my favorite being golden eye gun).Btw you should start live streaming or posting runs on youtube.

I've lost something like 40 subscribers since I've been uploading these videos en mass and I've hit two all time desubscribes the past two days. I mean, I do it because I want to do it, but I get the impression I should let the standard people do it and I'll just go my own thing elsewhere. I think Gungeon needs some serious rebalancing. Going off what others have said about shortcuts, they're not there to make the game more accessible (what I would consider useful about shortcuts), but rather, unlock a mode that only the best of the best can possibly beat. To me, this seems like a missed opportunity, because I think a lot of people would jump at the chance of going to world 4/5, even with starting weapons, just to get the hang of things. The other is that the curse is much steeper and the path to greatness is far narrower than Isaac. Lets face it, there are a lot of "DMG up" items in Isaac and plenty of great ways to become overpowered. In Gungeon, there are a handful of really good guns, with each catering to a different area. For instance the Megahand is probably the single greatest weapon for killing trash mobs in the game. It has high damage, low ammo consumption and great reserve. There are few guns that can even touch it and boast enough power to beat a whole floor with nothing but it (except the boss) without running out of ammo. The other thing is synergy. There are very few truly useful passive items. A lot of them fall under the "cool" or "weird category, instead of actually helping you. To put it another way, I could probably do better on a run with +1 Bullets, Lead Skin and Gunsaber than another run with 10 random items.

@@ametalhead5676 Master of Unlocking; in the end, you can see the items they had. How the hell they managed to get 36 unused keys is the increased blessing of RNG.

KaRyu1017 they say in the description that they had both mimic tooth necklace and ring of mimic friendship - these items synergies to make all chests unlocked and never mimics, so keys become useless, and master of unlocking + useless keys = lotta keys

"Could you give me tips" While my editor isn't exactly thrilled with me, I did recently write an article for a site I write for with a bunch of tips/tricks. They're basically a bunch of random notes/things I learned to do across my many playthroughs. You can find the article here ( www.justpushstart.com/2016/04/enter-gungeon-beginners-guide-game/ ). A lot of this stuff is going to hinge, not only on your awareness/skill, but luck too. Obviously a run where you get Megahand will be easier to progress in than one with Alien Engine, just like certain guns are boss kills, where as other guns are meant for mobs. "How I get strong to get down the chambers? " The best advice I can give is really trial and error. Most moves can be avoided by either using cover, range or getting close. It's important to know when to do which and this really comes with time. Another thing is to just keep trying stuff. Just because people say XYZ is awesome, there is a chance you can get something others hate, but you're simply great with.

+Josiah Robinson "But I still get stomped by Treadnaught " I've noticed that the Treadnaught is the least consistent boss in terms of difficulty. Sometimes he will just spawn enemy, after enemy, after enemy, after enemy, after -exhales into a sigh- enemy... and other times its just shotgun blasts that I can easily avoid. The only consistent way I found to deal with him is to use cover for as long as possible, focus on the adds instead of the boss and consider getting an extra blank or two going into the fight. A good blank can turn a fight around. This is also a good boss for using elemental damage against. Like make him stand in flames/poison/electric water. "4th chamber bosses" I find the Wall to be, by a wide margin, the easiest boss to get. A lot of people overthink that boss, resulting in them thinking he is hard. Believe it or not, all you need to do is the following. Pick a side, hang as far back as possible, NEVER GO IN THE MIDDLE, walk between as many bullets as possible while constantly shooting forward and then advance when the wall of bullets comes. If you dodge while running towards the bullets, then you should get past them without a scratch. This fight is also stupidly easily with something like the face melter. Take a shot, instantly reload, double damage, watch em melt. For the cult leader, well, he is tricky. He just so happened to be the boss I got my Lead God trophy against, which you're welcome to watch ( kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ibF3bK1qz6_WXZs.html ) to see if you can learn anything. Despite having like thirty items, it was a hard earned win that was more about my skill (not a plug, since any idiot can beat a boss flawlessly in twenty seconds) than having good gear. The pillars come down to two major concepts. The first is that, even if it's not good damage, guns that shoot through enemies is invaluable against him. The next is to pretty much save your blanks for his spin attack. The black orbs do double damage, so it's worth taking that hit if it can save you another hit in the long run. Once you get down to the last one it works similar to the hammers on the fifth floor. They will hang for a second, allowing you to move, before striking. You generally want to get some spread before jumping back to avoid taking damage. This is all the boss will do and you should have ample time to avoid him, focus on the bullets and then dodge. Finally, if you get the door, then you should be able to handle him. Just remember his eyes set you on fire. I've lost so many times because I don't roll to put them out or roll into other attacks. "5th chamber regular rooms," Prioritize enemies, use cover whenever possible, don't be afraid to flip tables and finally, play a long game. Seriously, there have been so many runs where I've won by just running around until I knew it was safe to attack. Yes, its boring. Yes, sometimes you'll still fail/take damage. But I've won so many rounds like that. Plus I sometimes pull out my side arm and, if you can believe it, go for over the edge kills. Sometimes it's easier to get them near an edge, shoot like five times with the side arm and then watch em fall. I also, because of how I often do my videos, have a seven minute long video of me hauling that stupid TV through the fifth floor. If there is some demand for it, then I'll be more than glad to upload it so you can watch how I do things/handle certain situations. I also have most, if not all, of my bullet hell attempt. This is the one before this one, but part of the same cycle (confusing I know). "with commentary" Unfortunately, I've gotten a lot of complaints in regards to my voice. I sounds drab, monotone and pretty boring, which turns people off. "show us what we can do to prevent as much damage possible?" There are a couple of videos where you can get an idea of how I go about saving my ass. However, the best advice I can give is mastering the starting weapon and using cover.

I barely can reach the 3th floor

This has to be one of the most asked questions and one that makes sense if you look at the items I have. One of the first items I got was the key generating item, with me obtaining the mimic necklace (making my keys worthless) shortly after, so I kept getting keys and had no way/reason to use them. From there, this was actually a clone run, with the reason for all my health being this was also my Lead God run, so I had enough time to easily obtain an absurd amount of keys. That being said, I really wish people would stop asking.

Gorgun is, by a wide margin, one of the easiest bosses in the game. So easy that I can explain how to flawless that fight almost every time. Start the fight, but don't shoot (she always swims at the start). Just loop around, feel free to touch the green stuff (it takes like three seconds to take damage in it) and then shoot her. If she shoots her machine guns to the side, move towards and roll over them. If she spins around, walk around the bullets and do a roll at the end if you she does a blast at the end (I forget if she does), just dodge roll over the last set. If she screams, move forward and move between the gaps. The bullets won't move if you're close enough to her. If you're having issues with this part, just use a blank. It will automatically end it. Repeat until dead.

oh, I always kept my distance when she screams, must be embarrising cause i died to her 5 times and no victories lol.

You can also avoid getting your guns frozen by looking away from her when she screams, (she's a gorgon after all) I think you can also dodge roll the effect, but I just always point the opposite direction.

+BlossXdexfan After fixing the 4 characters pasts, next runs will allow for Bullet Hell on your way to the Gun that kill the past. After the Dragun, in the dimension with floating bullet platforms, stand in the middle on the way up

You're absolutely right that Bullet Hell is a bigger problem than the Lich itself. The only phase that still troubles me is the second one. Honestly though, fuck shotgrubs.
