We are about to enter the Carthage National Museum (Arabic: المتحف الوطني بقرطاج), situated atop Byrsa Hill, in the heart of the city of Carthage in Tunis, Tunisia. Founded in 1875, the museum boasts an extensive collection of archaeological treasures, particularly from the Punic era. Excavations in 1975 uncovered a Late Roman house, its walls rich with Roman mosaic fragments, now exhibited on the museum's exterior. Initially established by Cardinal Charles Martial Lavigerie within a monastery, the museum was known as the Museum Lavigerie until 1956. This striking white edifice, adorned with numerous artifacts in its courtyard, beckons Gerak Darma's team to delve into its historically significant structure.
