25:30 “With a vengeance!” Bertram scared the crap outta me there. Honestly this was amazing. I cannot wait for even more self fulfilling. I’m only like 20% fulfilled at the moment so don’t be too long with chapter 2.

Am I the only one who thought Lady was actually voiced by Britt Allcroft? But in all seriousness this is off to a great start! I find it so ironic how this was written in like 2014 (I presume) and yet it has references to Big World Big Adventures! Maybe EE93 is a fortune teller himself!

I finished this half an hour ago and truth be told, I’m still in a state of shock. E, you never fail to inspire and amaze me with any one of your stories, but this.. this literally took my breath away. On multiple occasions! This was such a magical experience. Stellar doesn’t even begin to describe this! I can see that you had a very dedicated team of amazingly talented individuals and every one of their talents shines through in this. The animation, stop-motion and score all added such depth to an already fantastic, heartfelt story, and the voice cast was all-star. I’m trying to pick out a favorite of any of these things but they were all so good I’m having genuine trouble here. This was Enterprising Engines at its very finest and best, with all the mystery, humor, sinister plots, grand adventures, and at the end of the day, simple trust, love and hope for the future that makes your series the remarkably beautiful thing it is. It’s incredible to think of how far you’ve come, and what heights you still continue to reach..! much like, as you said, our number one friends. In closing, I again applaud each and every person who worked on this, and I am so honored to have been a small part of it myself, but in the end, this all started with you! And I’m so excited to see where this crazy, wonderful journey leads to next. Keep letting your lamp shine- you are a true light in the darkness!

This was so good. I think my favorite thing about your creative abilities is your knack for tone. It's consistent, and it works so well. This whole video was entertaining, but it was also a lot of food for thought, and I'm left wanting more. Everyone did such an awesome job, directors, voice actors, animators, and it all came together so well. I love this.

The best TWR video I've seen in a very long time. But that's to be expected, coming from you. The attention to detail is amazing, the casting is perfect, the story continues to connect and unravel in new and intriguing ways, the music is superb, everything about this video is awesome. Why did I even think that Culdee Fell was the darkest that this series could get? This has to be one of the darkest episodes of a Thomas & Friends Series ever. Thoroughly impressed throughout this entire first chapter. Already anxious to get to watch Chapter 2.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? So many brilliant creative minds contributed to this, and the whole video thrives with the energy they imbued. From your writing to the extensive modeling to the lovely outdoor sets to the top-notch voice acting (MPS and turtles had me in stitches as Mighty Mac) to both Tines and Evelyn's incredible music, there is nothing not to love about this. What results is an artistic masterpiece and one of the most unconventional yet thorough analyses of Thomas (as a character and as a franchise) that has ever existed. Thomas's place in the Enterprising Engines universe makes perfect sense while still being shrouded in a grand cosmic intrigue. This episode shows a true love for Thomas that is unparalleled by any recent work, and I can absolutely feel the passion you've poured into this story. We've waited years to see the Number 1 engine take the spotlight in your series, and this episode manages to both do justice to him as a character and kickstart what is sure to be a wild, self-fulfilling ride. You're at the top of your game, and I congratulate you on reaching the culmination of so many years of hard work! You're an incredible creator and an even better friend, and I wish you all the best as we journey toward the future!

This is a wonderful way to bring back the series after....Erm...200 years?

Here are my thoughts and questions. Thoughts first. 1. This was absolutely amazing! 2. I'm very impressed with all the different people that collaborated from filming their own scenes, providing custom models, and voicing. A couple of scenes I recognized were thomaswoodenrailway filming the scene where Thomas discovers hiro, turtlesandthomas filming the fortune teller's tent, and mrconductorfan1406 filming Thomas' lift off. 3. The gunshot at the confetti did startle me. 4. That janitor and fortune teller are quite mysterious. I was just as surprised as everyone else when the fortune teller fell off the bridge. Is there any thing proteus isn't capable of?! Also, that doctor is involved too?! I did recognize two of Aura's henchmen in culdee fell with the doctor so I'm worried not everyone on sodor can be trusted. 5. Loved the references to JBS and BWBA. 6. Loved all the different filming locations, shots, and animation. 7. Poor patriot. He must be extremely bored and lonely. Now onto questions. 1. What kind of props did everyone provide? 2. Who made which custom models? I may know most of them but I still would like to know. 3. If this was a season 3 episode, how would prophecy have started? 4. Again, if this was a season 3 episode, how would it be different than this version? Basically, what was the original plot? 5. Is Thomas going to have any more important parts in prophecy or is he done being the star for the rest of season two? 6. Is patriot's crew still with him or is he on his own? 7. Do you ever laugh your head off when you write silly scenes like mighty mac's argument? I think that's all I have to say and ask. Once again, great job to you and everyone else! I do hope someday I could help collaborate with this series with something other than voicing like providing custom models or filming small scenes. I can't wait for the rest of prophecy! I loved the song choice for Roxanne, especially when it played during other scenes. This truly felt like a professional film. If this was put into live action, that would be incredible! You took my breath away with this story!!

Matt, this had to be your best and one of my personal favorite episodes of Enterprising Engines throughout, without a doubt! I can also see your reasoning behind most of it but there's still some mystery such as Proteus of course and the Skarloey Railway Engines' comeuppance but I like surprises. But I'd like to explain what I realized from what you portrayed here and what persuaded my mind. Thomas's fortune, although it is true, and although it may happen, you persuaded me and hopefully others in the community that we won't know how it will happen. We must wait and see, and must have an opinion by seeing for yourself, and not agreeing to how others see it just to agree. No matter what, change has always happened, through Thomas and real life. How else would we have iPhones, self-driving cars, medicines to many diseases, and even a television show of a tank engine from a book? Without change, the world wouldn't be where it is. And without change in Thomas, although we wouldn't have Big World Big Adventures, we also wouldn't have movies as great as Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure or seasons 19-21 of the Cgi series. We wouldn't even have the Cgi series or the model series, all the merchandise , characters we've grown to love like Emily before. Change has been nothing but happening, but we only noticed it now when we suspect it to bad yet we sometimes get carried away with when it's great. Thomas may be changing, but he's been changing through the years up to now. What would we do if Thomas ended after season 12 or The Great Discovery? We would have never been here nor would I if Thomas had continued to grow and evolve as a character, as a show, and an idol of ours. And all I can say now is thank you, Matt. Thanks for showing me and all of us that there's no reason to fight, it's okay for change and we should accept it like we have been, for better or for worse in life and in Thomas. We'll never know until we try it out and see what it's like. So thank you, and don't ever stop surprising us.

Wait, let me see if I get this... The ghost (Proteus) is also embodying the janitor, and the Fortune teller, correct? In any case, this is amazing. Your brand of humor really works with this story and the way it's intertwined with the thoughtful and deep dialogue and ideology that really makes you think. (the confetti was really clever) I absolutely LOVE how this ties in so nicely with the past and present of the show. It really ties everything together and makes the world seem so much larger and immersive. I'm amazed at how many people you had working on this and it really pays off. I'm so, so proud to be in this with such a great team. Loved Vinnie's set! I will add that this is one of your most cinematic episodes, and I felt that the story really felt complete even though it's part of a larger series. God I died at "Thomas in Puberty" and "If we're divorced, then who gets custody of Ivo Hugh?" Really great cast. Your locations are spectacular as always and a lot of times I neglect to film somewhere due to certain conditions, or because I think it might look boring. You prove that almost anywhere can look awesome. Honestly one of the reasons I think this is so good is the music. It gives each emotion so much more power and adds weight to each situation. It's cinematic, happy, but cryptic, as if something's slightly off, but in a good way. Anyways enough of my rambling this was perfect

Dang Matt, even after two whole years; this video still gets me in the feels! Seeing fan content like this and many more out there old & new, especially after the downhill spiral the show is heading; it’s great to know that wonderful fan content like this; will never end! This was really a wonderful chapter! :D I loved the effects, casting, music, but mostly I LOVED the fortune's montage. My jaw dropped too during most of this video for I had NO IDEA what Proteus was capable of (becoming human :3). Excellent start here Matt and to everyone else involved with it. I'm excited to see what comes next. ;)

What can I say that other people haven't? This was incredible, I got chills during many parts of this, the scenes shown while the fortune teller was telling Thomas about what's to come was great, the scenes of Walter Richards failed attempts to assassinate the thin controller were interesting, Proteus seems to have some kind of goal in mind, or some reason to want to protect him, the facial animation in a lot of the scenes was great, though I didn't particularly like the part with the model series faces edited onto the engines, it looked awkward and out of place. Mighty Mac are a gem and always a pleasure to watch. As always I'm intrigued and looking forward to what's to come in the future!

Definitely worth the wait. The grand scale of this production is amazing. This brings back so many memories of when I was watching you when I first joined the community. You’ve fleshed out your characters so much I can really care about them. Really exited to see how the whole story plays out, cheers Matt!

This is pure GOLD!!!!!!!!!!! I love the sets and models, the animation affects, the 4th wall breaking, the introductory for Thomas, the way Proteus can shape shift, (quick fun fact: there was once a steam tugboat named Proteus!!!!!), the Wellsworth doctor's dark secret, (and all dark secrets in general), the reference of Big World, Big Adventures, the works!!!!!!!!

I.....I don't know how to say....but..... It's hard to choose a favorite episode of Season 2 of Enterprising Engines (World's a Stage, Swashbuckler and the chapters of Self-Fulfilling Prophecy), but if I have to choose a favorite, it would be either Fortune Teller and Swashbuckler! Really love the future references to other Thomas episode/special related stuff and Enterprising Engines, Rheneas, Skarloey and Mighty Mac's arguable dialogue is hilarious, Beresford making a surprise appearance, the flashbacks to other past Thomas movies, Thomas' first major starring role, Skarloey's Painful Memories to the past uneventful things that've happened on the Skarloey Railway, and Thomas and the Thin Controller interacting with each other and sharing their experiences and moral they've learned (just so touching), and the music! So many things I didn't expect, but thrilling, Proteus as a shape shifter (as Skarloey in flashback), The doctor and two strange people under Fredrick Aura keeping an eye on the Thin Controller and oh my god....Sir Fredrick Aura is planning to ruin the NWR's reputation as well? This will be very exciting, action-packed and well, amazing! All I can defiantly say is: BRILLIANT THOMAS EPISODE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it’s finally here! It’s nice to finally start to see some of the season 2’s storylines getting some new development. I’m super excited to see where the rest of the chapters are going! I refreshed my subscription page 20 times waiting for this to pop up, I didn't think it would be up this early or this long but its worth it!

Matt, I haven’t been able to watch a lot of fan content in the last few years. I’m slowly trying to catch up. And to be honest, it’s been some time since I have watched an episode of your series. But I think this was the perfect time to come back. What you have strung together here is incredibly important in terms of the history/legacy of ur channel and your path as a director and writer. The writing is... sooo different now. I remember watching an episode years ago with Daisy and a bridge and it was just such a nice story. But you evolved from that in so many ways. There’s a very theatrical feel here, and it’s a drastic step up from something that was already great in its own way... So color me impressed! Writing, modeling, directing, editing, this is just insanely great. I have a lot of catching up to do but I really felt I needed to say all this before I watch more haha!

What I love about your videos is that they don’t take place during any specific era of the show, everyone who’s ever been in the show are in them. In addition to that, the “bad” characters are written better. Keep doing what you’re doing Matt, without you, I wouldn’t be inspired to make my own Thomas stories

Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect when I saw the thumbnail and lil preview. I thought it would be “oh, Thomas meets a fortune Teller”. But you blew my expectations right out of the water! I loved the little references to BwBa and season21! The animation bits were on *Point* , and I’m so excited for part 2!! You never cease to amaze EE93, you never cease.

Wow. I am genuinely in awe. This felt like a return to form, a departure from anything we've seen before, and a means to blow our expectations clear out of the water. The sheer scale of this episode made it a master piece to behold and just beautiful to look at. The score was fantastic as always. The writing was at a level of clever and genius I have yet to see anywhere else in the franchise. It was so incredibly well woven that I can't help but spend the next few hours watching it over again and dissect the masterwork even more. P.S. The shooting gallery freaking killed me!

I absolutely love the new effects you've included. They add fresh life and work so well. Everyone did an amazing job.

And so it begins... This was absolutely spellbinding. The intro about Thomas and his adventures past and present feels so cinematic. Thomas really does shine in this episode with the added touch of your style of direction. Even if he does get a bit too much use in the TV series, you used him the right amount. The amount of action, suspense, drama and comedy blend exquisitely. I think my favorite part is Thomas getting glimpses of the future - love the nods to Tale of the Brave, Lost Treasure, and yes even BWBA. Though I'm curious what Douglas was thinking about BoCo...maybe something referenced in Culdee Fell?... But that scene at the sheds was really profound. It's a little rare in your series to see the main characters converse, and what Edward says is really poignant. (Along with that little nod to Emily) It is amazing how well your series has wound together not with just the TV series, but every other episode you've done that takes place before and after this. The changing faces on the characters and figure animations really adds a level of depth to your videos now, so props to all your animatiors. The song and singing by Evelyn is absolutely beautiful, and the voice cast was phenomenal. Needless to say, you've got us by the neck craving more of this content, Matt. (Doctor is connected, too!!! BUMBUMBUUUUUM) Well done, this was amazing. You deserve two thumbs up!

This episode was quite surprising to watch. It did feel a bit spooky to me, but it told a great story :).

Ok so I just got done watching this. HOLY HECK THIS IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. Matt, how are you able to make something so amazing? The visuals, the animation, the voice acting, everything was PERFECT. Especially Mighty Mac’s little argument. I was dying laughing the entire time. The story of Enterprising Engines is so comedic, suspenseful, and mysterious. And I applaud you for this.

Throughout the whole of the post credits scene all I could see was Mighty Mac, but all I could hear was MPS and Turtles having an argument like a married couple. Great work Matt.

This is such a beautiful video! Loved the sets as usual! The animators all did a fantastic job! And I just loved the way the story was made, foreshadowing future adventures for Thomas to come (in terms of the TV show haha). Some of the jokes as well were very swell! ;)

I'm a bit late to the party at this point, but I would like to express how much I enjoyed Thomas and the Fortune Teller. After keeping the audience in suspense for many years, we finally get a glimpse at Self-Fulfilling Prophecy in all its grandeur. The action and interactions in this story play out so cinematically, mirroring what has made Enterprising Engines great for so many years. I am very eager to and wait with bated breath to see the rest of your magnum opus play out.

While working on some models I was catching up on some Thomas content I’ve not seen over the last year and I’ve only just saw this now. This is definitely one of the best fan productions I’ve seen in a while. I really like the “change is natural” story. I’m not the biggest fan of change (especially big life changes) I don’t know why but I often find change to be troublesome, but the way it’s presented here, I really find change to be interesting like this. This is definitely a beautiful story.

I doubt you'll see this EE93, but I saw the notification pop up for this at work and as soon as I did I was in full on "come on you stupid clock turn to 5:30 already!" mode. This story was absolutely incredible and everything within it came together beautifully. The score, storyline, characters, animation, all a perfect 10/10. This is the first time I've ever commented on something just because on self conscious about what I do online, but this deserves a thousand comments, and then some. As for the Thin Controller, I’m kinda curious though, if he were to uncover this mystery, what would the possibility be for him resorting to vigilantism, like if he was Batman, even though he wouldn’t exactly be like Batman?But it was impressive with Thomas actually interacting with a fortune teller in terms of his reputation!

Dang, where to even begin? Man, was this a wild ride or what? Okay, let's start with something simple... okay, scratch that, this episode was anything but simple. But seriously, the foreboding of not only the actual series, and your series, but of the out-of-universe franchise itself was like, daaaaaang boiiiiii.
