ET looks back at Lisa Marie Presley’s journey as she followed in the footsteps of father Elvis with her music career. In these rare interviews, the only daughter of Priscilla Presley and the King of Rock and Roll opened up about living in the shadow of her dad’s legacy. Lisa Marie’s singing catalog also included duets with iconic Elvis tracks, such as ‘I Love You Because’ and ‘Where No One Stands Alone.’ She revealed to ET that recording those songs with her father’s voice made her break down at times.

I feel that since Lisa passed, we have lost the last link to the authentic, honest, and powerful Elvis. She was the last link we had to the living, breathing man. Lisa had the beauty of both her parents- but the strength of her essence, was all her own. Elvis and Lisa Marie belong to history now. I was not ready for that yet. Rest in Peace beautiful daughter and father.

Lisa's music has always touched me, helped me through some dark times. A true singer/song writer, that made a difference at least for me. RIP LMP.💕

I just watched the wonderful ceremony. Heartbreaking, may she Rest In Peace. She had a heavy heart the last few years. I really enjoyed her last album.

I am sure that Elvis would be very proud of Lisa. He would probably be her number one fan and would be listening to her music cause Elvis loved all different kinds of music and Lisa's is definitely different.

The media only asked her about Elvis Presley but most of her music is about Michael Jackson. It’s clear what the most significant relationship in her life was. No one ever interviewed her about Jackson in an empathetic way. They shamed, mocked & dismissed that relationship to the point she felt stigmatised & questioned her own perception of reality.

I always wonder how things would have been for her if Elvis hadn’t died when she was so young… I think her relationship with her mother was at times strained because of being who she was and I always think she had a tough life compared to Priscilla’s son Navorone who seems to have a great relationship with his mother… May she now find the peace with her daddy and son xx

I was born and raised in Memphis. I was in my early 30's when I moved away. I am now 56. I was raised in the suburbs less than a mile away from Elvis's home. I passed my his home everyday bit has never visited his home. I never cared to do so. My dad and late uncle started there music career at Stax Records in Memphis. Dad is still a producer and worked with Elvis. It is ridiculous for pl to do Drugs. My dad did not allow us to get into the business because of the things that went on in the industry. Ppl use to call us the Jackson 5 because my parents had 5 children, and our last name is Jackson. Lisa knew drugs is what killed her dad so why would she do drugs?????

Wish Lisa Marie had someone other than her mother to help her. Priscilla was always after money from Graceland. Lisa daughter had to give Priscilla money for her son. Not Elvis grandson.
