As a female ENTJ , it is even harder to be accepted for my very low FE, because women are supposed to be empathetic, right? And we are expected to listen to our friends go on and on about their problems. I want to help them solve the issue, I have great ideas how to move forward, or overcome it. Do they typically value that? Of course not. So I have learned over the years to have friends that are not emotional basket cases
@cratcliff88203 жыл бұрын
Same here! I’ve spent my career in the Air Force where they spend a lot of time and money drilling us to improve Fe so I’m competent at it but it is so draining. As a parent I’m not the cuddliest but I push my kids to make plans and a co over their own goals and they are pretty successful and happy because of it.
@YEDxYED3 жыл бұрын
I think it’d help you if you were upfront. If you would just come out and say that you can’t help them emotionally but you can give them ideas on how to move forward, then it’d be better. You could even go further and say “come to me when you’re ready to make a change.” Say that in an inspiring tone, though

Seeing people as a resurce lol this is so funny. I really want to find an ENTJ to hang put with. Last year I had a student (he was 15 years old more or less). That was an ENTJ and I have so much fun teaching him. He was a very dominant person he always wanted to be the one to solve the problema in the blackboard, and If I let someone else do it he would get frustrated and get mad at me. It was really funny to see that, because then I could bring him back to a good emotional place with my witty humor and my logic. I would actually lough at his tantrums which was much different to ither teacher approach that would get ungry with him when he did that. I think he saw that as refreshing and that's why he couldn't be mad for as long as he wanted to be (yes, he did it on purpose) because I made him lough when he was mad. I think I learned to do that with my dad (an ISTP) , that would also make fun of me and my sister when we where mad, he would made us more mad sometimes but it made me realise how stupid it was to be mad. It didn't work with my INFJ sister though, she woukd get madder. Lol He also got very nervious with my caotic way of teaching, he needed order and resolution, and I would make them do several projects at the same time that where related with eachother pedagogically, but he didn't want to start a project before finishing the previous one. I think I made him get out of his comfort zone wich is something he, at the end of the day, valued positively even if it frustrated him. This years I'm at an other highschool (and it's a much better one so I'm really happy) but I miss my other students, specially my ENTJ student. I don't know why I explaind all of this I guess I just wanted to share it.

Always testing if we’re a good person!!!! So. Much. This. 👏🏼 I resonated with so much of this. Growing up, having to study and work my a** off in school because my memory is garbage and even making friends. I had a ton of acquaintances but like 2 people I liked and considered friends. My entire life, as long as I can remember have been judged as being arrogant or “better than” and it’s just not true. My Si is constantly making me question my worth and goodness. I too have high, thick walls and I’m cautious as to what I reveal or share about myself because of my reservation in being vulnerable. I most definitely do not share my emotions, because I don’t trust them nor do I think their logical or lead to progress. I feel comfortable around intps because I feel like we get each other. Thank you for this. - ENTJ

Interesting. As ISFP who dated a lot of INTPs, I can definitely share that same experience of being able to follow their logical approach. I guess it's because of Se. The more we experience people, the closer we get to the way they operate, it's easy for Se-users to go with the flow. but it's in the moment kind of focus, the familiarity of it, so it doesn't seem like a disconnect anymore.

This video brought some clarity to that and so many other things so thank u for it 😌😌😌

I am an ENTJ, yes it's actually about the people that are not on his "must to care" cercle then he will not even care AT ALL because of his personality, but in the "must to care" cercle, if YOU are already there first of all...you will notice that he is so understanding if u are talking about a bad situation u are in, but that doesn't mean that he is going to be emotional for you at any point cuz that's impossible, all what he thinking of is helping u ...no matter what it takes, so don't expect him to be there emotionally, i mean to feel sad or something...and if you think about it carefully, u'll see that it's useless to do so, and that's the reason why he is not doing it.
@brigo20872 жыл бұрын
@@salmabassaid304 I honestly see that too. He is a fixer even when I just need to vent. It’s frustrating at times that he can’t understand my emotions though. And to be clear, I don’t want him to cry or meet my emotional energy, i just want him to understand and have the skill to empathize when it’s necessary. I will credit him by saying he has been working really hard on it the past 3 years and he has improved so much in that area. He’s also been teaching me how to not feel everything so deeply as well which helps a lot as well. Thank you for your insight though. I am always looking to interact with ENTJ’s to better understand them and the way they perceive things.

On the Fi part, it is very easy for outsiders to forget that ENTJs care about what other people think of them, because they appear to only care about practical aspects of life and not very available to listen to feeling talks. I made a mistake once when I told one of my ENTJ friends about other people's casual negative remarks about him. I thought he would merely disregard it as it serves no practical use. To my surprise, he became very angry, cold and distant for ~1 month. I did not know that he cares so much about what other people think of him. Whereas for me, even though a lot of people feedbacked to me that I am sensitive, over the time I have learnt to give up about the fact that many people misunderstand me, dislike me and think that I am 'not good'. I was very surprised to learn that ENTJ, despite his tough appearance, has the need to be seen as 'good' by other people. However, it makes sense, seeing how much they use their Te to be valuable to others

Female ENTJ. I had an ISFP ex boyfriend, also an ISFP friend (female). It's funny how those two dynamics played out, but i can say being with my ISFP ex was probably one of the worst experiences and not because hes a totally bad example for his type or whatever. I just realized dating your polar opposite is so challenging that to this day i still cant ever see myself doing it right (dating an ISFP, as if that were to happen again). I was often too controlling for him apparently, he said i was selfish or didnt respect him because i had a vision for what i thought our relationship could go towards. I thought that was a positive thing, but to him he thought it was suffocating on his individuality. While i admired his people-skills i didnt value how touchy he seemed about certain things that he would describe as wrong or immoral, and he partied too much in the short term at the cost of longterm health and intention for me to take him seriously. Resentment brewed quick, ended fast. My ISFP friend however, we were totally opposite from outside looking in, but i could tell in small (superficial probably) things we were so similar in. We had the same attitude (arrogance) about how we should operate in the world and what matters or doesnt at the end of the day. Whenever we hung out we always had fun in an organic way almost, i didnt feel like i had to overextend or coordinate myself much like sometimes i do with other people to keep an agenda going. With my ISFP friend we simply existed and it felt refreshing how confidently and simply she viewed life while i struggled to be in the present and not look too much into how things unfolded or connected, she really brought me back to the moment.

ENTJ female here, life for ENTJ’s and others would improve, if the schools followed logic blocks. A+B=C, Big pic + Steps=Goal, Reasons + options =Goals. Schools skip “reasons” teach you B and memorize C. We have 2 observers working together so all we need are core concepts. Results not effort. So the issue of shadow mode is like an analysis loop. We’re strategic planner keep a plan options a-c. ENTJ’s are effective they make change happen our shadow is efficient analytical and perfecting for self. I wake up every morning in INTP mode I could research for days. 530am run stops that. I schedule everything right down to “scream my lungs out” time to handle those pesky emotionally tidal wave. Anyway it’s good to see so many young people aware of the importance of personality. I tested ENTJ in high school and college but I didn’t want to accept my personality, it just didn’t sound like me. Now, I look back and think how could I have missed this.

Luckily I have my bf who is an INFJ and helps me work through my emotions. He asks me how I'm feeling when I get upset about something. He knows to give me some time to think about what I'm actually feeling vs what I'm showing. Edit: lmfao! The whole ISFJ thing is so accurate. I'm an ENTJ and I knew someone who was an ISFJ. I hate when people try and take my food from me. They think just because we're friends they can take my food. NOPE! So the guy I knew asked me " what if it was a starving child who took your food. How would you feel about that?" I said " I would be pissed! I would teach that kid to not just take food. Ask for it. I'll share and feed the kid but he has to ask for the food. Otherwise he's going to grow up thinking he can steal from people and probably do worse". His jaw DROPPED. Lol it's not like I'm going to beat the kid or starve him but the kids got to learn.

Cody describes about Fi so well and how it goes along with his Se , I'm INTJ here and my Se is so bad but my Fi justice beliefs are so strong. Life is tough in this far from ideal society.

I’m an ambivert INTP, but at my best I perform more of an ENTJ than an INTP. Is it possible to be fluid between these two types? Also, I think I’m much more result oriented when I’m leading a team. Somehow that sense of responsibility is a motivator for me. In contrast, my personal projects rarely come to fruition... sigh, I wish I were better at executing my schemes too... I need an ENTJ in my pocket to keep me motivated! Lol
@rileydunn28324 жыл бұрын
haha I love these type of INTPs and no not exactly between INTP and ENTJ but just a very ENTJ focused one. ENTJ is your unconscious as an INTP and I can also relate to this especially when I am leading. Being results driven is also something that ENTJs and INTPs have in common, although INTPs including myself definitely struggle completing personal projects.

No, you can't be two types at once especially such opposite types. In objective personality, some people's demon functions are double activated it would seem like it comes first.

ENTJ 8 is impossible since E8 is peak Se and totally trumps Ni, so that would've made you a ESxP. ENTJs typically are sp3, so3 and sp7. E3's devolve to 9 and go to 6 when healthy. E7's devolve to 1 and go to 5 when healthy.

The ENTJ needs checks and balances, if not they can force too much control over the general work force, since most ENTJ are CEOs, I believe the INFJ is the ENTJs check and balance system. Which is why they are adequately named the advocate, the INFJ advocates for the "people" and the rights of people and can see things from all points of view, including that of the ENTJ because INFJs generally have a inferior sense of self.
@afififinatrr97903 жыл бұрын
Female ENTJ with female INFJ bestfriend here, agreed. I'm behind you on this belief. INFJ's insights are so wholesome and mostly original, especially because theirs are results of them being attuned to the emotional aspect of a group (especially individually). Both of us depend on each others to check out our blindspots also. We have Perceiver (INXP, ENFP) bestfriends to help both of us out on the same thing. It's wise to keep different type of people around us; they'd help us achieve holistic growth in everything.

I'm an INFJ and my ENTJ friend calls me his "conscience" because i always point out where he's going morally wrong 😂. But could you please explain further what do you mean by "INFJs generally have an inferior sense of self"? It's rubbing me up the wrong way for some reason.
@jenniferhansen59812 жыл бұрын
Well the less devloped INFJ attunes to the group over attuning to their own needs, Strong Fe, and a less strong Se. That is what I meant by an inferior sense of self.
@fl36402 жыл бұрын
@@jenniferhansen5981 ahh i see. Yes that's true indeed. It gets less and less this way with age and a more developed Ti. At least that's the way it is for me. I'm the one arguing against the group in many cases now.

hello I have a question I am 15 years old, supposedly I am an ENTJ-A, I don't really know how to deal with school because my mind tells me that if something is not important I do not have to learn it so I have problems working in school, my The question is how I could solve the problem because it is a stage of my life that I must take into account to continue to the future
@codyclapp70903 жыл бұрын
Hey man! This is a great question and I felt very similarly in high school. I would say what really helped me was finding something in the class that I was passionate about or something that interested me. I am sure you are smart enough to get through the system with good grades but it definitely makes it much easier to invest in the class if there is even a part of it that you enjoy! If you want to reach out with more questions feel free to email me at codem8ster@gmail.com! I would love to hear from ya!

So I've been wondering if I'm an EnTJ who's in his Intp shadow or just an INTP. I like to look at an immature Fe user as enablers because they tend to just give people more reasons to feel a way.

I'm an INTP that married an ENTJ. Whew .... rollercoaster but lots of fun. The guest host sounds so much like my spouse it's eerie. My spouse dated a series of ESFJs and when he met me he snapped me up. Previously married to an INTJ before he passed. The marriage was more balanced. My ENTJ just takes charge of things and I'm just in it for the ride. Actually kind of nice most of the time but as an INTP it makes me a little lazy.
@kaycorea8229 Жыл бұрын
@@thethirdlife8695 I agree a lot with your last sentence. My ENTJ is an admirable human being who doesn’t know “failure “ or “laziness “. I don’t know why I said I’m “glad and sad”. Guess all humans are lonely, especially INTPs like me.
