ISTJs are one of the easiest types to trigger of every type. All you do is tell them something that is non traditional for the area and culture you're in is the correct way and then mention an extremely well known politician that stands for the "other side" being "onto it" and "sorting out the country". Or skip all that and say we should raise income taxes to increase unemployment benefits

As an ENTJ I was saying to myself "heh there's no way we're on this list, we aren't triggered by anything." then she proceeded to expertly share with the world "just tell them we agree to disagree." Then I humbly accepted the triggered classification as I tried to figure my way out of it.

I think we INFJs know what the ENTP is up to - provoking in order to get a reaction - and we don’t want to give them the satisfaction. It’s true though that we’re ticking time bombs, and we imagine arguing with people in our heads. It takes a lot of effort to not blow up in a provocateur’s face 🥴

@sarahberkner It can usually hurt sadly because they don't get why you tell them unpleasent things in unrelated situations and they usually get angry and emotional and negative emotions can really hurt. No other type does this weird thing of calmly warning others and explaining them what brought that on way in advance out of nowhere before exploding cause it sounds unatural and they're not into it to get the full extent of what this implies. Sometimes they can get it though if you find the right words to reach them and their full comprehension. But it happens very rarely.

As soon as I saw the 'trigger-nometry' tier, I knew where I'd be. Of course, once an INTP realises that you're *trying* to trigger them, they pull up the drawbridge, lower the portcullis, and raise a few more curtain walls, just so you can't. And you can keep your huge wooden horse. That way you'll never know what's on the inside really. ... ... ... trouble is, neither do we

When INTP's have gotten pissed at me I wanted to jump off the face of the planet -ENFP But otherwise love you little goofballs even if you're so confusing to me that you can sound pissed but then still interact with a person or interact with a person all cheery like than reveal you're pissed off and cut ties (second example could've been ENTP but still)
@kylozen3938
@kylozen3938 8 ай бұрын
@@Pinkywinkykinky yeah no, as an entp I have two types of pissed,(three but the third one is kinda fun so I don't count it) either I'm tired of you or you did something that crossed the line, the second one you'd have to be a walking pile to do. Other than that my Ne-Ti and Fe combo make it easy for me to see things from a birds eye view so honestly kinda hard for me to care unless I attribute respect to ya. If you did piss an entp off the wrong way it's more likey they just did'nt think you were worth the time; or if they respected you(can't really speak for eveyone) you may have done something to lose that respect. NGL every person has their land mines so I'm kinda curious as to what you did to make them not go nuclear but cut ties, if they were an entp.
@huntedsnark7507
@huntedsnark7507 8 ай бұрын
It costs us a lot of energy, though. If we're genuinely pissed or upset or uncomfortable with someone, but making the effort to mask that ... we get so exhausted, so fast. And it builds up over time. So, eventually, we may just explode into full Fe grip hysteria. And it may look to others like it's come from literally nowhere. Then we change our job and name and move to Reykjavík, of course.
@kylozen3938
@kylozen3938 8 ай бұрын
@@huntedsnark7507 I don't think I could mask it long term very well since I tend to be petty and passive aggressive if I'm mad(really annoyed or just stressed in general at most usually. I've learned that emotions even if you don't like them aren't good to ignore since they have a habit of being like a jack in the box. I've also learned what it's like to draw boundaries and have them crossed and flip the shadow switch. Sometimes it's just as interesting to mess with your own buttons just to know how you work and do not work better. In another life I could have probably been an enfp but Fi just isn't a thing I can vibe with for reasons. But yeah, masking is a drain, though it can be fun at times.

As an INFJ, some of the funniest games to play with ENTPs are playing as dumb as possible to make them repeat and explain their words because they can't help but go on another tangent every time and make them believe you don't get their mind games and what they're trying to do while you totally know what they're doing and you're just leading the conversation. Also voluntarily reducing your capacity to argue as much as possible to make them lose interest and let them think they won the debate when you were just holding back because you really don't care about winning arguments. Another great one is defusing any tension they're purposely trying to install to push people to argue to reestablish good harmony in the group. They'll get bored and triggered themselves. But the best thing is probably when they're trying hard to trigger you and you just fake being triggered and play their game by arguing with them even though you don't care simply to entertain them because you know they like to debate and it will make them pass the time. They're so childish but situations like these make them really cute. But it's really not that easy to fool us, we're the other masterminds with INTJs after all. We're like the ENTPs kryptonite because we always make sure to keep things harmonious around us and we're too chill to easily be triggered because our ideas are challenged. We're open to discussions (not debates). It's truly an honor to be the lowest on this list.

Thats why I'm so attracted to infjs. You guys know we're lowkey insane, but instead of being afraid or disgusted with us like other types you guys just see our wounded but brilliant inner child, and usher us accordingly. Mature ENTPs know that the INFJs are really the ones in control, which is a great trade off because we can still be our mischievous selves near a person who sees us past all of that and loves us anyways. I will say that INFJ has a great ability to round us up and put us in our place when we need it, but you let us go off the rails on someone if you think they deserve it. We're like intellectual attack dogs, with INFJ being our handlers. lol

I cant tell you how many times we got into discussions that turned into arguments that triggered me and that caused her to provoke me, watch me explode, then run into her room and lock the door while im hammering at the door exploding. And just when I have decided to go to my room and cool off, she opens the door to yell something that will make me angry again. Ohhhh boy, I have not enjoyed having an ENTP so close to me xD

Ha ha yes! My older sister is an INFJ and you explained our relationship. The fights were BRUTAL! When watching this I actually thought “well, ENTP Liz doesn’t have an INFJ sister then I guess”. This being said, I’d like to add that those ENTP outbursts from your sister were probably revenge tactics for the daily INFJ triggering. Because my sister did it to me daily, and I think just for kicks. We’re not that different in the end hahah! 😅

I mean, it's human to be offended sometimes, but maybe working on not getting triggered by a difference of opinion especially if you know the person is trying to annoy you would be a good idea. Because you're going to come across people with different opinions and ways of doing things, that's a part of life.

Yes. My older sister is an ENTP and its like she disagrees with me on everything just to see how far she can go with being condescending and unserious, then she throws the 'no need to get emotional' when I explode. I know ENTP is supposed to be INFJs ideal partner, but I would rather do 10 hours of consecutive small talk a day than marry and ENTP. I think an ENTP sibling having gone through puberty drowning you with their teenage rage through cruel jokes and gaslighting ruins the type forever.

And that's exactly why being around ENTPs can be great as an INFJ. Even though we really despise some aspects of them, we can identify the innocence in them and guide them accordingly to be the best version of themselves in society. Being around someone who can be mean and toxic but not out of genuine and profound anger and awareness can surprisingly be way easier to deal with if that makes sense.

PFFT, INFP one is actually in a weird way accurate. Some days things upset me easily, some days they don't, often times it's some random obscure thing that sends my mind on a whole tangent about something or another and I end up crying. Some days I have the energy to react, some days I don't. Sometimes my emotional reaction is very delayed, and only at the end of the day will I then seem upset, as if it was just steadily growing that whole time. Sometimes my reaction is instant. There's a lot of factors that go into it that I don't even fully understand. There is at least one or two topic that likely would fire me up quickly no matter what, probably because it's one of the things I'm most passionate about.

Not enough (maybe depending on INTP maturity). The trick here is to trigger Ti and Fe simultaneously for which a hypocrisy is the best tool. As an INTP, I honestly am sUpEr surprised that we were low on the scale. I am often so apathetic that, when with others, even if I am triggered, I will still have almost no reaction because of habit. Also, this is nearly perfectly timed, because I just had a classmate tell me that he wants to try and figure out how to trigger me, but called me a worthy opponent. I’m thinking, “Yeah, good luck.” He is able to easily trigger people, but I am unlikely to lose this battle. Also, I just saw Harold through ENTP’s window. He’s still blending in, and I’m not sure if he’s alive. I need to further investigate. Also, I relate to the ISTP’s constant lack of amusement with others. And the ENTP’s tangents, cynicism, overthinking, and slightly to their nihilism.

I salute you, dear ENTP weirdos :) - INFJ P.s. also I feel strangely honored by my placement in this ranking. Just fyi, we most certainly experience deranged anger and get triggered a lot (or is that just me?) but yeah, you won’t get to see most of it; unless I’m forced to live with you…for years…since birth…then maybe once or twice^^

@snadianna
@snadianna 8 ай бұрын
I have to disagree a bit. If INTP don't know much about subject either, It'll not be effective. If INTP old enough, it'll not bother them so much. As 30+ yo INTP, I'm not going to be triggered by it. Maybe, a bit annoyed of the stupidity and a lack of meaning in conversation, but people around me most likely not notice it anyway. I'm in that stage of mind, when if I see that person say stupid things and don't listen if they're corrected, I just physically remove myself from conversation or say smth like "believe whatever you want". I'm not waisting my time and energy to correct somebody if they don't want to be corrected. My piont is, It could be annoying sometimes, but not to the point for me having a strong reaction. So, it's not triggering enough, imho.
