ഒരു കാര്യം പറഞ്ഞത് വളരെ ശരിയാണ്. പുരുഷൻ ഫെമിനിസം പറയുമ്പോൾ ലഭിക്കുന്ന സ്വീകാര്യത സ്ത്രീ പറയുമ്പോൾ ലഭിക്കില്ല. മല്ലു analyst എന്ന ചാനലിൽ തന്നെ അവതരണം വിവേക് ചേട്ടന് പകരം വൃന്ദ ചേച്ചി ആണെങ്കിൽ ഇത്രയും സ്വീകാര്യത ഈ സമൂഹത്തിൽ ലഭിക്കാൻ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടാണ്.

ഒരു സ്ത്രീ എന്ന നിലയിൽ ഫെമിനിസവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് എന്തെങ്കിലും ചർച്ചകൾ ഉണ്ടാകുമ്പോഴോ, സ്ത്രീകൾ അനുഭവിക്കുന്ന എന്തെങ്കിലും പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ പറയുമ്പോഴോ ഞാൻ നേരിട്ടുള്ള ഏറ്റവും ദൗർഭാഗ്യകരമായ അവസ്ഥ, ആ പ്രശ്നത്തെ ഞാൻ ന്യായീകരിക്കേണ്ടിയും, സമർത്ഥിക്കേണ്ടിയും വരുന്നു എന്നതാണ്.. പകൽ പോലെ വ്യക്തമായ കാര്യങ്ങളും ഇത്തരം scrutiny യ്ക്ക് വിധേയമാക്കുമ്പോൾ ഒരു പരിധി വരെ ഒരു ഇമോഷണൽ ബ്ലോക്ക് ഉണ്ടാകാറുണ്ട്, അത് മറുഭാഗത്തുള്ളവർ ആ ചർച്ചയിലുള്ള അവരുടെ വിജയമായും കാണാറുണ്ട്..

ഞാൻ ഒബിസി വിഭാഗത്തിൽ പെട്ട ഒരു വ്യക്തി ആണ്. ഞാൻ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന ആൾ നായരും. ഞാൻ താഴ്ന്ന ജാതി ആണെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വീട്ടുകാർ വളരെ എതിർപ്പു പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ജാതി വിവേചനം നമ്മടെ നാട്ടിൽ ഇല്ലെന്നു പലരും പറയുന്നത് കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. ജാതി പ്രിവിലേജ് വളരെ അധികം നിലനിൽക്കുന്ന നാട് ആണ് നമ്മുടെത്. പല മാട്രിമോണി പരസ്യങ്ങളും അതിനു ഉദാഹരണം ആണ്.

ജാതി വളരെ subtle ആയി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഒരു സ്ഥലം ആണ് കേരളം. നോർത്ത് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഉള്ളവരെ പോലെ അത് പരസ്യമായി പറയാൻ ഇവിടുള്ളവർക്ക് മടി ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ട് നമ്മൾ വളരെ civilised ജനതയാണെന്ന് അഹങ്കരിച്ചു ജീവിക്കുന്നു. കേരളത്തിലെ 80 ശതമാനം വിവാഹങ്ങളും ഇപ്പോഴും ജാതി അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ആണ് നടക്കുന്നതെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കിയാൽ ഇത് വ്യക്തമാവും. നിങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞ അവസ്ഥയിലൂടെ ഞാനും കടന്ന് പോയിട്ടുള്ളതുകൊണ്ട് മറ്റൊരാൾ നിങ്ങളെ നിങ്ങൾ പോലും ആഗ്രഹിക്കാതെ കിട്ടിയ ജാതിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ മാത്രം identify ചെയുമ്പോൾ ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന അപമാനം എനിക്ക് മനസ്സിലാകും.🙂

ഞാനൊരു കേരളത്തിൽ ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്ന ആളാണ്. ആണായത് കൊണ്ട് മാത്രം എനിക്ക് ന ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾ പറയാം. ■ പറമ്പിൽ മണിക്കൂറുകളോളം നിക്കറിട്ട് ഫുട്ബോൾ കളിക്കാം. മറ്റ് കളികളും അത് പോലെ. ■ വീട്ട്കാരോട് പറയാതെ ഫ്രണ്ട്സിന്റെ കൂടെ രാത്രി സമയം ചിലവഴിക്കാം. ■ കോളേജിൽ നിന്ന് എത്ര വൈകി വേണേലും വീട്ടിൽ വരാം. ■ കൂടെ പഠിച്ചവരുടെ കല്ല്യാണങ്ങൾക്ക് വീട്ട്കാരോട് പറയാതെ തന്നെ പോവാം, വരാം.

മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ ആദ്യനായിക ക്ക് സിനിമയിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചതിന് വളരെ മോശം അനുഭവങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായി എന്ന് കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്... അവിടെ നിന്ന് വർഷങ്ങൾ ക്കിപ്പുറം മമ്തയ്ക് അത്രേം പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ നേരിടേണ്ടി വന്നിട്ടില്ലെങ്കിൽ അതിനു കാരണം വെറുതെ കുറേ വർഷങ്ങൾ കടന്നു പോയതു കൊണ്ടല്ല മറച്ചു പിന്നിട്ട കാലങ്ങളിൽ പല നടി മാരും അപവാദങ്ങൾ കേട്ടു മാറി നിൽക്കാതെ ധൈര്യപൂർവം മുന്നോട്ട് വന്നത് കൊണ്ടാണ്,.... സിനിമയിൽ ഇത്രയും സ്ത്രീ കൾ അഭിനയിക്കാൻ വരുന്നത് കൊണ്ടാണ് ഇവരെയും വീട്ടുകാർ സപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നത്.... അല്ലായിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ഇപ്പോൾവീട്ടിൽ മിറർ നെ മുന്നിൽ മാത്രം അഭിനയിക്കാം..... പലരും പലതും ഉറക്കെ പറയുമ്പോളേ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ വരൂ... നിങ്ങൾ ക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള profession ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള വിവാഹം, ചേരാത്ത ബന്ധം ഒഴിവാക്കി എല്ലാത്തിനും കൂടെ പേരെന്റ്സ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.... എന്നാൽ സ്ത്രീ ആയതുകൊണ്ടേ നല്ല വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ജോബ് ഒട്ടും പൊരുത്തമില്ലാത്ത ബന്ധം ഒഴിവാക്കാൻ ഉള്ള ഫ്രീഡം etokke നിഷേധിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ ഒരുപാട് ഉണ്ട്..... ഇപ്പോൾ വുമൺ എംപവര്മെന്റ് ന് വേണ്ടി സംസാരിക്കുന്നവർ ഒരുപാട് പേർക്ക് വേണ്ടി യാണ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നത്, അതൊന്നും മനസിലാക്കാതെ സംസാരിക്കരുത്....

Same here, I was so disturbed by Mamtha’s words. I was surprised by Mamtha’s take on the actress assault issue. The surprise was because I really liked her grace, elegance and independent expressions and her courage to fight her health condition by herself. But since the actress assault issue, I have been listening her words carefully. It is evident that she comes from a place of privilege and a privilege she does not have a clear understanding of.

It was actually mentioned originally by Rousseau in his book confessions i think. Rousseau writes that he remembers a queen who said the following words. This quote over the years became popular because of its utility. It conveys the supercilious nature of the privileged. History has been unkind to men and especially women in the past. It has been realized and many changes are being made now. There is another quote: "After me the deluge" said by or attributed to one of the louis emperors of france. He may or may not have said it. But it is attributed to him because of his self importance. Every quote in history was not said by a particular person verbatim. Over the years some historians attribute it to a person male or female based on their characteristics)/positions/ideological stand etc. Its easy to do today with social media. But even before that majority of the quotes were misquotes based on attribution. This was the case before the arrival of electronic media atleast. It is unfair to look at it from a sexist prism. Because many social determinants go into it other than gender. Queen is a title which reflects royalty and was part of the feudal order which was questioned since it was visible. Things are being realized in the 21st century and there is an attempt to change the structures. Hence a historian of today will be aware of the feminiist thought and write history accordingly. Even then it will be unfair if he/she defends a Jayalalitha based on gender for the excessess she committed in her office despite her policy reforms.

@Mahesh Krishnan there is a creamy layer criteria. So only with manipulation a rich can benefit from obc reservation. I am not saying it isn't happening. You have to look through actual figures if they alla are represented according to their population. If that is the case I can agree with you. I hope yoi understood reservation is not for jobs but for representation. It's not a perfect one. There is a lot of politicisation. But it is still a requirement. reservation is the effect not the cause.

@Mahesh Krishnan janasnkhya nokiyapola reservation. It's about their representation in government administration. Ok pls think clearly. The hospitals, colleges, the administration should not discriminate a person based on his community. That is the ideal case. But our country, due to this peculiar caste set up, this can be never achieved.,tthus there is a need of reservation. I know it's being politicised and all, but only through political and social power, anu community can benefit their rights. So reservation is a must. For muslims, Sachar commission has shown their poor representation. Also there is a communal angle. So I can't see any problem. For eg, recently there was a program upsc jihad in a national channel. This happens the total representation is only 4 percent. This is the problem that makes representation a necessity.

എനിക്ക് തോന്നുന്നത് വായന നമ്മളെ ഒന്നുകൂടി broadmind ആക്കും എന്നു തോന്നിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. വായിക്കുന്നത് അത്തരത്തിൽ ആവണം എന്നുള്ളത് മാത്രം. ബഷീറിന്റെ ശബ്ദങ്ങൾ, നളിനി ജമീലയുടെ ജീവിത കഥ , എന്റെ കഥ ,പത്മരാജന്റെ കഥകൾ ഇതെല്ലാ ഇത്തരത്തിൽ ചിന്തിപ്പിക്കാൻ എനിക്കു സഹായം ആയിട്ടുണ്ട്. മറ്റൊരാളുടെ ഭാഗത്തു നിന്ന് ചിന്തിക്കാനുള്ള ശേഷി അന്യന്റെ വികാരങ്ങളെ വിചാരങ്ങളെ എല്ലാം നമ്മുടേതെന്നു പോലെ തോന്നിപ്പിക്കാൻ വായനക്കു കഴിയും.(personal opinion)

Traditional organized religions are traditional fraud. The so called ‘New Age’ spirituality is worse, it is cleverer fraud and more brutal. Best examples are the Sree Sree Ravisankar and Jaggi Vasudev frauds. Their fans are worse fanatics than most traditional religionists. By the way how ‘new’ is this ‘new age spirituality? It is already old fashioned and outdated. We had Madam Blavatsky right there in the early 19th century.

Previlages അനുഭവിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ പ്രശ്നം മനസിലാക്കാൻ പലപ്പോഴും കഴിയാറില്ല. അത് മനസിലാക്കണമെങ്കിൽ സ്വന്തം comfort zone ന് അപ്പുറമുള്ള ജീവിതങ്ങൾ മനസിലാക്കണം. എന്നും കാറിൽ യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരാൾക്ക് ബസിൽ നേരിടേണ്ടി വരുന്ന പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ എങ്ങനെ മനസിലാകാനാണ്.

There was an interview in vanitha where she told we get into troubles that we deserves and if something abusive happens she never complains about it. @Mahesh Krishnan അതൊരു പ്രശ്നമാണ്. എൻ്റെ എല്ലാ പേഴ്സണൽ documents ilum ജാതിവാൽ ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ട് യൂട്യൂബിലും അതെ പേര് ആണ് കിടന്നിരുന്നത്. ഓൺലൈൻ ക്ലാസ്സിൽ ഒക്കെ join ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ മീറ്റിൽ കാണിക്കുന്നത് official name ആയിരിക്കണം എന്നാണ് മുകളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഉത്തരവ്. എല്ലാ സോഷ്യൽ media അക്കൗണ്ടുകളിലും ഇതേ പേര് ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നു. മല്ലു analyst ൻ്റെ comment സെക്ഷനിൽ മിക്കവാറും കമൻ്റുകൾ പോസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുന്ന ആളാണ് ഞാൻ. ഒരു കമൻ്റിൽ ഇതേ കാര്യത്തിൽ കുറച്ച് പേർ എന്നോട് പേര് മാറ്റാൻ വരെ പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാൻ മാറ്റി. കാരണം ചിലർക്ക് അത് നീതികെടായി തോന്നും. ഉറപ്പാണ്. മാത്രമല്ല എൻ്റെ നിലപാടുകൾക്ക് ചേരുന്നതല്ല എൻ്റെ പേര് എന്നും അന്ന് ഞാൻ മനസ്സിലാക്കി. ( ഞാൻ എൻ്റെ പേര് അതുവരെ അത്ര കാര്യമായി എടുത്തിരുന്നില്ല.) എന്തായാലും വീട്ടുകാരുടെ ചിലവിൽ കഴിയുന്നത് വരെ പേര് ഔദ്യോഗികമായി മാറ്റാൻ പറ്റില്ലല്ലോ. അതുകൊണ്ട് പേരിൻ്റെ പ്രശ്നം അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ നിൽക്കുന്നു.

@Mahesh Krishnan താങ്കൾ പറഞ്ഞത് ശരിയാണ്. പക്ഷേ മറ്റുള്ളവർ ഏതു തരം ആളുകൾ ആണെന്ന് നമുക്ക് അറിയില്ല. അപ്പോൾ നമ്മൾ തിരുത്താനുള്ളത് തിരുത്തുക. ജാതിവാൽ ഇല്ലാത്തവർ എല്ലാം പരമസാത്വികർ ആണെന്ന് എനിക്കും തോന്നുന്നില്ല. പക്ഷേ ഞാൻ പുരോഗമനം പറയാൻ മാത്രം ഉള്ളതല്ല ..പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ കൂടി ഉള്ളതാണെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. നമ്മുടെ പ്രവർത്തികൾ പരസ്പരവിരുദ്ധം ആകാതെ നോക്കേണ്ടത് നമ്മളാണല്ലോ.

@Mahesh Krishnan ഹാ എൻ്റെ കാര്യവും similar ആണ്. ഒരു വ്യത്യാസം മാത്രം . എൻ്റെ എല്ലാ cirtificate കളിലും ജാതി ഉണ്ട്. 12 വയസ്സുള്ളപ്പോൾ ആണ് ആധാർ കാർഡ് എടുത്തത്. മാത്രമല്ല ഞാൻ മതത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വെളിയിൽ വരാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ആളാണ്. വീട്ടുകാർ ഒക്കെ വിശ്വാസികളും. മാത്രമല്ല അവർ ജീവിച്ച ചുറ്റുപാടുകളും അവർ പഠിച്ച കാര്യങ്ങളും ഒക്കെ കൊണ്ടാകാം ജാതി വല്യ കാര്യമാണെന്ന് ചിന്തിക്കുന്നവർ ആണ്. അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ എൻ്റെ പേരിൽ ജാതി ചേർത്തതിൽ അത്ഭുതം ഒന്നും തോന്നുന്നില്ല. കൂടാതെ അറിവ് വെച്ചത് തന്നെ വളരെ വൈകിയാണ്. കൂടുതൽ ആളുകളെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, അടുത്തറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ഒക്കെയാണ് ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യാൻ പഠിച്ചത്. ഇതൊന്നും വീട്ടുകാർക്ക് ഇപ്പൊൾ അറിയില്ല. എതിർപ്പുകൾ ഒക്കെ പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കും എങ്കിലും ചെറിയ സൂചനകൾ അല്ലാതെ അവർക്ക് ഒന്നും അറിയില്ല. തൽക്കാലം അറിയിക്കുന്നുമില്ല .പിന്നെ egalitarianism ഞാൻ പിന്തുണക്കുന്നു. അതിൽ തെറ്റുകൾ ഉണ്ടാകാം. പക്ഷേ അത് പറയാൻ ഉള്ള മിനിമം യോഗ്യത വേണമെങ്കിൽ പേരിനോടൊപ്പം ജാതി കൂട്ടുന്നത് തീരെ ശരിയല്ല .ജാതി പേരിൻ്റെ കൂടെ കൂട്ടുക മാത്രമല്ല പരസ്യമായി വിളിച്ച് പറഞ്ഞ് എന്തിനോ വേണ്ടി തിളക്കുന്ന സാമ്പാറുകൾ പോലെയുള്ള toxic ആയ ആളുകൾ ഉണ്ട് എന്നത് 100% സത്യമാണ്..സ്വന്തം കുടുംബത്തിൽ തന്നെയുണ്ട്. എന്നെപ്പോലെ ഈ അബദ്ധം പറ്റി തെറ്റിദ്ധരിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരുപാട് പേരുമുണ്ട് . സ്വന്തം പേരിനെ പറ്റി കാര്യമായി ചിന്തിക്കാത്തവർ . അവർ അറിയാതെ എങ്ങാനും പുരോഗമനം പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവർ തീർച്ചയായും തെറ്റിദ്ധരിക്കപ്പെടും. അത് അങ്ങനെയാണ്.. ആരെയും കുറ്റം പറയാൻ സാധിക്കില്ല . അതിനും കാരണം ആദ്യം പറഞ്ഞ കൂട്ടർ ആണ്.

Few weeks before...Santhosh kulangara യുടെ ഒരു വീഡിയോ എല്ലാവരും സ്റ്റാറ്റസ് ഇട്ടിരുന്നത് ഓർക്കുന്നു...അതിൽ പറയുന്നത് സ്ത്രീകൾ പണിയെടുത്ത് ആണ് equality കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടത്...channel ചർച്ചകൾ നടത്തിയിട്ടല്ല എന്ന്....സ്വന്തം പ്രിവിലേജ് ഇരുന്ന് ഇങ്ങനെ പറയാൻ എന്ത് easy ആണ്.....സ്വന്തം marriage തന്റെ സമ്മതം ഇല്ലാതെ തീരുമാനിക്കുന്ന ലൈഫ് ഉള്ള പെൺകുട്ടികൾ ഇപ്പഴും എന്റെ ഫ്രണ്ട് circle ഉണ്ട്..... ജോലിക്ക് വിടാത്ത husband's....those who can't raise their voice.... ഇങ്ങനെ പ്രിവിലേജ് ഇരിക്കുന്നവർ ഇതുപോലെ പറയുമ്പോൾ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള life's ഒന്ന് കാണാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചാൽ മതി

ഞാൻ ഈ ഇന്റർവ്യൂ കണ്ടില്ലാരുന്നു.. ഈ വീഡിയോ കണ്ട ശേഷം ഞാൻ അത് പോയി കണ്ടു.. ആ കമന്റ്‌ ബോക്സ്‌ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ കുറച്ചു സന്തോഷം തോന്നി.. കണ്ടതിൽ മിക്കതും മാന്യമായ കമന്റ്സ് ആയിരുന്നു..

പറഞ്ഞതെല്ലാം വളരെ കറക്റ്റ് aan bro നമ്മൾ അനുഭവിക്കാത്ത, കാണാത്ത, കേൾക്കാത്ത ഒരുപാട് കാര്യങ്ങൾ നമ്മുടെ ചുറ്റിലും ഉണ്ട്. നമ്മൾ അത് അറിഞ്ഞില്ല (മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ ശ്രെമിച്ചില്ല ) എങ്കിലും അതൊന്നും ഇല്ലാതെ ആകുന്നില്ല. ഒരു ലേഡി ആയിരുന്നിട്ടു കൂടി അവരുടെ ചുറ്റും ഒന്ന്‌ കണ്ണോടിക്കാൻ അവർ മുതിർന്നില്ല. അത്രേ ഉള്ളു 👍
