I love that he tells her no one could ever touch the place he holds in his heart for her. No way he ever could love Tracey the way he loved and loves Laura. This kiss between them says it all.

It's disgusting how General Hospital treated Genie, they wouldn't work around her shedule or give her time off which in interviews was a main reason she left. Tony however would be given over several months a year vacation time. They did her dirty, Luke has never shined as in the way he did with Laura. I stopped watching when she left, just dispicable when she was half of the team that made the show so wonderful!!!!

They had to write around her many exits for other adventures career wise. Of course fans would have love for her to stay and Luke & Laura to grow old together. When she was ready to come back in circa 2015 Tong Geary retired so nothing can be done there. I always thought in later years they should have brought back Sam Behers for Bobby to reconnect with Jake as he was the love for her life so Jackie is no longer with us so that storyline is dead. The same will happen with Luke & Laura.

@@marycahill6839 No the EP and Tony Geary were the reason for her many exits. Genie was never offered another full-time contract after 2002 when she asked for 6 weeks off to go to London to be with her husband. JFP and Tony Geary made sure she was never on GH full-time. Tony wanted to move Luke in a different direction and have him become a dark character. He became a drunk, a loser, and a deadbeat Dad. He also wanted to try to make people just remember Luke, and not Luke and Laura. In his later years on the show he truly came to resent the fame of Luke and Laura. That is why he requested the pairing with his friend Jane Elliot as Tracy. I'm sorry that coupling was a joke. They had comedy but no romantic chemistry. He only had that with Genie. Finally, after Tony retired Genie was offered a full-time contract which she accepted. It has been wonderful having Laura back full-time even without Luke.

These two still are ELECTRIC after all these years. Luke almost seems like the Luke I loved years ago. I hope Genie returns and maybe Luke can change. Tracy and Luke never have had the chemistry these two have and always will have. Come Back Genie!!

What the hell is wrong with GH? They need Genie Francis back on GH. Luke and Laura will always be a couple. WRiters at GH should know these two have millions of fans still after all these years.

The way to reach the writers is to contact the sponsors. Let the sponsers know how much we love these 2. Luke choosing Tracy over Laura?? No way. Even w/ all other problems between them, it was never another woman. It wouldn't happen. Make Tracy or Scott the protagonists, but bring back Genie & keep L & L together. I'm sick at this turn of events. The writers are really trying to destroy the greatest love story of modern times. Thanks for these videos, envious01. They are real keepers.

OH I got so excited when they kissed Lol! I thought for sure they'd end up getting together, but nooo! Now that Genie's back, these writers better get the story straight, and work on getting Luke and Laura back together where they belong!

I saw some brief glimmers of the real Luke Spencer in November. Luke is only truly the viable anti-hero he is when he has Laura. Sounds like TG's actually broken his own rules and started buying into his own hype when the truth is, if it hadn't been for Laura, Luke would have been killed off back in '78. I want to keep loving TG and Luke, but both actor and character are currently making it very difficult.

TG had a lot of control about script approval. He could have fought for L&L to stay together. Instead, he wanted them to go their separate ways. He got what he wanted. In exchange, he got an endless shrew, who badgered and bickered with him constantly. He's finally lost his mind for good.

I’m like everyone else wondering what the heck happened between the writers of GH and TG wanting to break up this beautiful awesome couple, why wouldn’t they want the ratings to continue upward. It’s just so sad having the relationship to be discarded after all these years. I love Luke and Laura together and just don’t get it

Watch this...the big "kiss off" TPTB give to L&L, and Genie...then watch the sham of Tracy (cough..I choke on it) and Luke's wedding a few days ago, where they profess undying love for each other...Please u'll NEVER sell that one to me! They marry around Christmas, (notoriously Laura's favorite holiday), days after Laura's birthday...TPTB love to "slap in the face" the L&L story. Luke finally gets domesticized, (the issue he always had with Laura), he finally does & it's with Tracy??!!

I stopped watching GH when Genie left GH. Then I watched it when she came back of course we ALL had to watch everyone's expression especially Luke's reaction when they found out Laura was alive! But then the whole show went south and I stopped watching GH for good. Just WHO wants to watch GH when Luke is married to Tracy and Laura marries some other guy? The whole show just "sucks" breaking up the greatest love story partners like they did and then to have Luke die. Why couldn't they just have them leave together to be happily ever after. They still could have had Laura visit like they do with others time to time. But to break up the greatest couple on tv soaps that is just so wrong and pure stupid on the writer's part!

Didn't these ep's in Nov 2008 seem like the "good note"? I mean they are truly understanding their relationship (past & present), they still show how much they love ea. other, and they realize that it's time to move on. I believe that goes for the actors themselves as they move onto other projects like GF has done w/the wonderful Hallmark Channel "Note" movies. There is a 3rd one "in the works" so be looking for it sometime in the next yr or so I'm guessing..
