what i like most about envy n anxiety bein friends is that it makes sense. being anxious about meeting new people brings about envy, a desire to be as COOL as those people as GOOD at those people, because if ur not they simply wont like u. both emotions feed off each other, which is how we end up going from simple "oh we'll focus more on career then friends" to a full blown panic attack about not being good enough for ANYTHING because if ur not LIKE THEM, ur not GOOD like them. just love envy n anxiety feeding into each other, like anxiety having no idea how to make friends so envy pulls "try asking Val lots of questions, people LOVE talking about themselves!". gives envy the ability to learn what makes Val so damn cool and anxiety a minute to take in new knowledge they could use later to seem "cool" like everyone else just mmm love how they portray how envy n anxiety simply go hand in hand

Is it weird that I kinda want Sadness and Anxiety to be friends? After Anxiety found Sadness and put her in that bucket, I really wanted there to be a scene where they talk about it. Sadness is just so grounded. everyone else is so loud and bouncey, and Sadness is so calm compared to them. I feel like she'd sympathise with Anxiety and help her feel seen while also reminding her of when she's going overboard. You can kinda see this in the Inside Out 2 book Goodnight Anxiety, where Sadness remembered things Anxiety likes and was able to calm her and help her sleep.
