Hi, I am now building a Freebird C/L stunt ship designed by Tony Eifflaender. I bought a PAW .40 TBR diesel engine to be installed to this plane and have run it about one hour in test bench. Although many people say that diesels over 2,5 ccm are difficult to start and vibrate strongly this engine starts easily and the vibrations do not feel too hard. It is interesting to see how it works and vibrates when installed to the plane. Regards, Mikko

Hello Mikko yes there is a head cover and protection tubes push in the box but they are not mounted at the factory, it's a new engine and while running, it vibrates as it is a Diesel and has a high compression. Sincerely, olikliolik.

Hi Mikko, I used this motor only for testing, it's a very good motor, works very well, very economic. To avoid the vibration use a silent block for the motor support and use the equilibrium propellers of APC. Regards, me

hi there, do you think that a 4 cilinder version of this engine is strong enough to power a Rc tank? weighing about 30 kg? because it sounds way better that a benzine/gasoline engine! (did i say that i love the sound?)

Hello again Olikliolik! Do you already have a model in which you are going to install this engine? I have got a Svenson Wayfarer kit (Spanish made, not the original made in Belgium) and thought that this could be a perfect choice to that plane: awesome sound and ability to rotate a big propeller in moderate RPM. The only thing that makes me hesitate is the vibration. All four strokers vibrate more than the two strokers, but could this engine vibrate too much and damage the structures?

What a lovely sound! Does your engine vibrate much, and does it have a rocker cover at all? There are some other videos about the same engine type and these engines run without it. Regards, Mikko

Hello, Can you use the glow plug blank to adjust the compression, like with the counter-pistons on other model diesels?

this is glow engine but use diesel fuel,they didn't use glow plug to start up.
