He almost never plays horizontally, he is always projecting the team forward, creating surprising options that are surely a nightmare for the opponents defenders. You can guess he is reading his options beforehand. In just one smart motion he can transport the game 30 meters towards the goal line. These are game changers.

something worth mentioning is that Fernández is a versatile player. Sure, he can play as a creative defensive midfielder and is very good at it, with great defensive presence and progressive passsing, as he showed at Argentina and now at Chelsea, but he's also more than capable of playing on an advanced, creative role behind the strikers given his goalscoring and pressing capabilites, as he showed playing in River Plate under Gallardo (scoring 10 goals in 40 games!). I think the World Cup gave people outside of South America a very narrow idea of who he is as a player, but the truth is he played exclusively at that holding midfield role in the World Cup because that's the kind of performance that the team needed. I really hope to see him at that 10 position at Chelsea once Kante comes back.

He was worth every penny, think that this kid plays like a beast and he's only 21 years, he played his first WC and won it and earned his place in the main formation. In the years to come he will be among the stars in the Premier League, remember this.

bar the quality of his passes, i see some leadership in what he's doing on the pitch. I think once he's settled in London and learns the language he will be one of the leaders for this team. Also we need a strong def mid next to him, my choice would be Lavia, then Enzo would be allowed to go a bit more forward, we saw what he can do in final 3rd against West Ham, pure quality.

Enzo is definitely a player made for the premier league. Classy on the touch, great range of passing, with good defending, and awareness. Would’ve loved to see him at liverpool.

You can see in this video the quality he has. All the right passes to the right person in offensive position. I don't like him as defender midfielder, he should play alongside one so he can play more free without worrying too much about defending (that's where he excelled at Benfica and River Plate), but if he plays there and if the people he passes to can't even finish the plays, his true value won't shine

Awesome compilation! The problem with Chelsea are its forwards. Just look at Enzo playing with Julian Alvarez for Argentina in the WC2022. Having a top tier forward is crucial for the style of Enzo.

Mudryk, enzo, badiashile need to play all the time to build the chemistry around them and already establish player at chelsea.. i dont think Potter can do that.. the only problem is they need a right manager to manage all of this player.

As a Chelsea fan I might be biased but enzo has been brilliant for us so far it more of a potter problem so atm I see that’s Chelsea either sack potter after this season and try to bring in a world class manager or a manager with a good reputation or we believe in the potter project for the long term like arsenal believed in arteta and now they are doing brilliant but I just dont see potter being near to arteta level even if we do give him time.

If Chelsea won't revive this season, he has to change the club ASAP; otherwise, his career as a potential top player will end without even starting. At this point, the player and his agent have to think twice about picking a club and signing a long-term contract (it's suitable for football clubs and Mudrik's type of players only, but Enzo has to consider changing his agent). Caicedo cost £4.5m and is just as effective and does just as good of a job. Palhinha cost £20m and statistically has been the best DM in the PL this season. You don't need to spend big to get quality.

Thought this was gonna be hate but all these highlights in 4 games is amazing.

I was at first very skeptical about his arrival and price tag, but my goodness. Enzo is such a baller. Chelsea really missed a Fabregas type of player in the midfield for the past couple of years and it seems like they finally found one. He could've easily had 5-10 more assists if Chelsea had more clinical strikers. Chelsea really need a strong defensing midfielder so Enzo can advance further up the pitch and can focus more on the offensive aspect of the game.

I dont think anyone is worth 130M other than prime messi and prime ronaldo but damn we hit a jackpot when we got him (even though we spent so much)

I watched him during the WC, he is a great player no doubt about that. But he needs better players around him, you cant expect him to play his best game when he is playing with players like Havertz and Mount. Chelsea doesn't have players who are good while finishing

From all the games i saw of him in Benfica i would say is like a glue the sticks a team together. I don't think he will ever be the best defensive midfielder of have the best ofensive stats, but he will make the team work better and connect the defense with ofense.

Enzo is insanely good, but with that amount of money we expected a lethal striker who can freaking score. So this is a bad deal. IF Chelsea instead had waited until summer, they would have spent less for a better version of Enzo, while maybe would have grasped a REAL striker who can convert their chances in the winter.

I'm Portuguese, naturally i follow our league and i saw enzo play quite a lot. He's obviously a very good player, clearly good enough to play for a champions league contender, but his market value is absolutely mental. Less than a year ago, this guy played in Argentina and Benfica bought him by roughly 12m. This just shows how recklessly chelsea deals with the market, throwing money at everything that moves and hope for the best. It's a plastic football club, a total disgrace.
