In todays video we document our third day moving into our new workspace, today we build another workbench along the east facing gable end of the shed, and bring in a new gas cooker and a fridge.

If you want the stonework to really pop, try lighting it from directly below (behind you) with a third light. Then light yourself with one panel from front left (bright), one from further away on the right (dimmer). That’s effectively a 3 point lighting setup and it’ll make things look big budget really quickly. Great vlogs - keep them coming!

Yep agree with this. Light the stone from top down or bottom up (I find top down nicer, shadows going up always throw me). Regardless this guy spot on!

I just finished up building a radiant LP gas heater for my own shop. It uses two runs of barn tin, placed together like spoons each a half inch apart to form a radiant flu. Lots of heat, no fumes and no noise.

And I might add, I think everyone who's commenting has a similar thought too, just keep on being your authentic, normal person, a bit of charm and cheek here and there, with the focus on what you're making, showing off craftsmanship with imperfections at times too as that's perfectly normal as well.

100% with you on not gluing workshop furniture and fittings together. Guarantee you'll want to make changes over the years (months, even) and avoiding permanent construction makes it easier to make changes. Plus you've a much better chance of being able to reuse timber

Just brilliant. The workshop looks great so far. I’m really enjoying these vlogs 🙂 Please don’t overcome your feelings about filming yourself whilst people are watching. You’re doing a grand job. I’m ok with the before and after explanations you’re currently doing. I’m thinking that it’s less about social anxiety, and a tad more about not wanting to look like that type of “Hi guys” wanker that films themselves walking and talking in public places. The type that gets annoyed when someone “ruins” their shot. 🤣🤣

Its super exciting seeing a new workshop come together! How much of the build/ layout has been pre planned vs waiting to figure certain aspects out as you begin to use it? Think it can often be tricky to visualise how everything will work together in your workflow. Allowing it to evolve over time can be fun though!
